Now, I refuse to present my ideas on the sunsinger subclass in it's current state because i don't want this to become a nerf/buff thread. this is an idea for a change to a current subclass which is statistically being underused currently. It should not be considered a nerf or a buff, it should be considered a remake.
first, the grenades:
Restoration Grenade: Heals nearby teammates and yourself when it detonates after a short delay. (when in super it activates upon impact and deals damage to enemies)
Solar Grenade: Increase the amount of damage it deals per tick but decrease how many ticks their are per grenade. total damage remains the same. (it lasts longer when thrown while super is active)
Catacomb Grenade: creates a 'Sanctuary Spot' where it lands. (sanctuaries are spots on the battlefield that are the same size and color as sunspots, but they glow brighter and have a slight green tint to them on the edge of their glow. they heal teammates that stand inside them overtime, at the same rate that a sunspot damages enemies.) (Also generates a sunspot at the same time when super is active.)
Next, Melee:
Restore: Hitting an enemy with this melee releases a healing wave, which heals nearby allies and yourself. (has greatly increased range when super is active).
Upgrades:
Revitalize: You and allies healed by restore have your current magazines refilled and gain increased movement speed for a short time.
Brightest Flame: Enemies touched by restore light on fire.
Conjuring: Create a Sanctuary Spot when an enemy is killed by Restore.
Super: Radiance: Buffs your grenade and melee as well as forcing your health and the health of nearby teammates into a state of constant regeneration (even when getting shot at). Decreases the cooldown rate of your abilities.
Upgrades:
Engulfed: Enemies near you or teammates effected by radiance catch on fire until they move out of range of radiance.
Power of the Stars: Teammates and yourself gain greatly increased weapon handling speed when effected by radiance.
Searing Anger: All abilities cast by you or your teammates deal 33% more damage when effected by radiance.
Random Upgrades #1:
Last Candle Lit: When you are the last living member of your fireteam, you gain greatly increased revive speed and decreased ability and super cooldowns.
Heaven's Forge: When you damage an enemy with an ability, they grow more vulnerable to damage from all sources for 8 seconds. (12% increase).
Sun-Brought sanctuary: Activating your super creates a sanctuary at your feet. allies and yourself standing inside of sanctuaries gain increased armor and recovery. +1 recovery.
Random Upgrades #2:
Star-Dust blessing: Sanctuaries last longer and your solar grenade heal allies standing inside of it. (at a reduced rate when compared to an actual sanctuary though).
Enlightened: you and allies very close to you gain enhanced radar and weapon accuracy. + 1 agility.
Help you, Help me: When allies are healed by you in any way, you gain temporarily decreased super cooldown time. (lasts 3 seconds, continuous healing refreshes constantly). stacks up to 3 times. (15% increase each stack).
just some ideas I had.

Edited by Southern4x4: 7/17/2016 8:15:45 PMNo. No. No. Your title should be: Make the Sunsinger even more OP than any class has ever been. Adapt to the changes. Gunslinger got nerfed too. I still like double trip mines. You just have to learn to use the nerfed version. I've even managed to give the architects a few more kills with my trip mines post nerf. So your crutch firebolts aren't as good and burn is broke? Try running double fusion grenades with a max discipline build. No burn needed.

Noice I feel like this captures more what the sunsinger is about more than what's in the game already

Sunsinger is dead the twitch streamers needed a regular income so just let sunsingers die the nerfs are in place & nothing will change that. The developers hate you & every single one of us that play their game & pay their -blam!-ing wages & they have no more respect for you or me or any of the players than they have for a lump of dog shit they just scraped from their shoe. The nerfs are done deal with it & just move on because sunsingers wont ever be as good again.

You know they fkd the sunsinger, when we start to make a subclass.

Edited by Sneak Attack 65: 7/17/2016 8:36:25 PMThis would be absolutely perfect if the health system in Destiny was like having the exposure modifier on 24/7.

Good idea, but it needs some work.

My problem is that this makes it the healer subclasse. Might as well give the titans a taunt for arrgo control and call them tank.
destiny does not have the typical arch types of other MMOs
Heals seem ok as support but those sanctuaries would appear OP and think about the 75% dmg increase in crucible, so many nades would 1 shot...
