Is Satan a bad person/god/thingymajig?
Is satan really a bad "__"? He punishes people that have done bad things (sinned), therefore he's doing a good thing right? Afterall, it's whomever's fault for sinning and being put in hell etc... Why would he try to do bad things to everyone if he punished bad people put in hell. It doesn't make sense.

Well I live on an island were 75% of the population and also the government is chatlic based. The most stupid think that I hear nearly everyday is that if a good thing happens they say it was god but if a bad think happens they blame satan.

Satan doesnt murder children. Thats gods jurisdiction. Satan deals only with the guilty.

God would have had us all be ignorant, Satan showed us the path to knowledge and understanding. Think about it. After eating the apple, humanity gained the knowledge of good and evil. Before that people would have just done what "felt right." Things that are wrong still would have happened. Somebody annoys you? Kill him. The only difference is that we wouldn't have [i]understood[/i] that what we were doing was wrong. It would have been "okay" because we were ignorant. TL;DR: Hail Satan, the giver of knowledge.

1 ReplyDepends on who you ask, the conventional interpretation of satan or the devil holds that he is the root of all evil but some are Kinder. I know of one where he is considered the arbiter of forbidden knowledge brought about when the church was very anti science, another earlier interpretation says hes mearly the warden of the dammed but a otherwise a faithful servent of god.

Maybe god isn't the good one. Or maybe Satan's bad power is stronger these days and neutralizes god's good power. Or maybe god doesn't care and I should pray to Satan, maybe he'd help me more. Or maybe god refuses to help me because sometimes I insult him/her/it because he/she/it didn't help me. But he/she/it started it, I didn't insult him/her/it when I was younger and he/she/it already didn't help me.

1 ReplySatan is evil. He is the bad guy, trust me on this. He does what he does because he hates all life forms. Mainly humans. God sent him to be the ruler of "Hell" as a punishment. Tricking him into thinking he was getting what he wanted, to torture and kill humans, in reality he was just saving God from doing something he knew needed to be done but couldn't come to do himself, and that is punishing the wicked. While the wicked must be punished God still loves all life forms, plus Satan is the best at sadistic torture to teach the wicked the error of their ways. Many may say God is a coward for not doing this himself and tricking his brother into doing it for him. But think of it this way. Could you torture your own son, daughter, or loved one? The answer to that question for any good human is, undoubtedly, No. Long story short Satan is evil and weak, don't be fooled by him. That is all.
