*Mortar was sealed in a vaccum sealed glass box for all to see. Except he wasn't doing anything dangerous inside the box, seeing how long he could last without oxygen. No. This was his casket, being viewed to everyone before he was dropped into the lake. It was a sad time, Cyan had tears in her eyes, Crossbow comforting her, Wit and Mion making sure that there are enough chairs and everything is perfect. They had a right to, to them it was as if they lost a family member, Cyan in a literal sense.*
Wit: Let's see... 24 chairs. You think that will be enough?
Mion: I think so, many people were kicked out.
Wit: True... I'm going to get a few more just to be safe.
*Wit walks off, you can tell that he's upset by the way he's walking. Mion just sits in a chair and falls asleep*
Crossbow: It's okay Cyan, he is in a better place.
Cyan: You KNOW that is not true, YOU were in that place before Mortar brought you back.
Crossbow: yes, I know, however it may be better for him because he has a higher rank?
Cyan: it doesn't matter if you were a peasant or the goddamn king of the universe, they treat everyone the same.

"Yep..."
I feel like I should add something to do with the Nameless King learning of Mortar's death. But that'll reveal his true intentions... -evil laughter-
-
So, did you tell anyone else about Mortar's death? I'm sure Anor Londo would hate to hear about the last Lord's death
-
"The old gods heard. I don't know about Nameless though..." It was funny that Ornstein mentioned the Nameless King. For high up in Archdragon Peak, there he was. Waiting. With the death of Mortar...he would be unstoppable in his wrath... "So...anyway."
-
Yeah, anyway...
-
"Anything I should do? If you guys need me, I'll be there."
-
Would you like to say anything about him? Go up to the podium? Say goodbye to Mortar?
-
"I'll...say goodbye."
-
Okay. *Mion jumps out of your lap and up to the box, which he jumps on and lays down*
-
Ornstein simply walks up to the box where Mortar lies, and places his hand on it.
-
*Inside the box lays Mortar. He doesn't look as if he's in pain, or having a slightly tired look he always has. He looks... peaceful. Definitely the opposite than what he Normally is*
-
"Well...he certainly looks...better. I...I guess..."
-
Mion: Yeah, less tired, he is able to get plenty of rest
-
"Yeah...I guess."
-
You, um, wanna say anything?
-
"I'm not one for speeches...sorry."
-
Okay... It doesn't have to be good...
-
"Seriously."
-
Alright... Stay up here as long as you would like to, I'll just sit here... *Mion falls asleep on the sun warmed glass*
-
Ornstein chuckles. A minute later, he starts to look for Cyan. Just to see how she's doing.
-
*Cyan is sitting in the front row with Crossbow next to her* Crossbow: Hey Ornstein. Where's Smough?
-
"He..." Ornstein sighs. "He thought it would be best if he didn't come."
-
Cyan: Maybe... would have been nice to come, though, to pay his respects to him.
-
"He's worried that people will...will call him a murderer. That they'll harass him over this... I shouldn't have yelled at him like that, when we first learned that Mortar had..."
-
Cyan: Yeah, I remember that. I probably shouldn't have instantly tries to kill him. Does that... cut still hurt?
-
"Don't worry about it, I'm fine... It's him I'm worried about. I don't want him to be like me after the quest, holing up in his room and...hollowing."
