I still can't agree with calling snipers OP. I usually don't use the 3rd person perspective to counter snipers, but I find that if you peek, you have to come out fast at an unexpected height/angle. If you counter snipe or use a weapon that causes lots of flinch, you should win the engagement.
I wouldn't call snipers OP simply because I have to avoid them constantly. I'll admit, I still die from them. But not nearly as much as I would if I didn't take precautions. It's the same as shotguns, you just have to assume that your enemy has the optimal special weapon for every scenario. Otherwise you'll find yourself dying from snipers constantly all the time, which would be very frustrating.
You have to apply what you know about avoiding snipers in EVERY scenario that you find them, not just sometimes. And if you do something to avoid them, maybe you could improve? For instance, maybe you're using vertical space, but you might be staying in the air just long enough for them to snipe you. As a sniper myself, I find that even 1 second is more than enough time to make a vertical adjustment to snipe someone.
Apply these practices religiously, and maybe you won't die from them as much. Watch good players like RealKraftyy or TrueVanguard, they all use these principles to avoid them or even counter them. Yes, it sounds like a lot of work right now. But once these movements become second nature, you'll appreciate that players aren't using a really OP gun, they might just be very talented at the game.
