Why I HATE the Gjallarhorn.
The Gjallarhorn is the embodiment of imbalance in Destiny, a single gun that beats all others, one that has denied many a run through a raid or end game PVE activity. The same stands with Ice Breaker, but not to quite the same extent. I'd take balance over one bigoted, super powered, bum slappy, Christ on a bike, kill-em-all death machine.

2 RepliesYour about a year late man. Rebalancing really did a number on it. Gally is just a rocket launcher. In Pvp, you die in 1 hit... just like any other RL. And if you are in pve... then your winning... soo high five your friend or something..

The Gjallarhorn was nerfed. Now it's not game breakingly OP, it's just slightly OP (as an exotic should be).

I'd rather feel powerful, thanks. Besides, the only reason the G-Horn was such an outstanding weapon was because of the horribly designed bosses in Y1, which were just dumb, waddling bullet sponges. Bungie has learned from this and designed some endgame encounters with differing mechanics where rockets aren't always the ideal heavy to use.

Hated it from the toxic community it bred, how bungie made it artificially rare, and even when I got it despised it for how it trivialized everything. Made it my duty to carry people through raids that didn't have it to try to make up for the bullshit

Frankly, I've grown accustomed to not running any rocket launchers in Y2. You can accrue many more kills per synth with a MG or sword.

The gun is fine. It's gong to be nerfed when it is taken to rise of iron and right now it's still year two. And the point of the weapon is to be the coolest and most rare weapon in the game.
