Tribune Quintus Tullius entered the command tent, the other tribunes and the legate were gathered around the map of the known areas of the Bloodwrath. General quarters was displayed and there were icons representative of the troops stationed there. The Legion, 6,980 strong were a large bulk of the imperium's forces. The giant ship held many evils and these troops would be hard pressed to hold the general quarters alone, luckily they wouldn't have to. The Heroes and other imperial guard units were instrumental in holding the line.
The topic of the day was a planned assault on a manufactorium held by a group of dark eldar. The first cohort and fifth cohort would be tasked to take it. Tribune Quintus was placed in charge of this expedition as the troops assembled on the muster grounds. There was rumor of regular eldar prisoners and human torture victims held there. They would try to free them, if they could. The thousand man army marched soon, and everyone was on edge.

One of your subordinates walks up at a brisk pace, trouble written on his face. "Sir, I need you to look at this." He says, handing you a data slate. The troop count is not 6980, it's 6981. Unease drifts into your mind as you remember a gut feeling from earlier... The feeling of being watched from the shadows. 2 reports of missing equipment come to your mind, they were insignificant and overlooked. The items were stolen from a secluded row of lockers in the very back of your personnel quarters... The same place where corresponding reports if flickering lights and spooked solders comes from. The urge to examine this area is overwhelming.

Tribune Tullius got two evocati, seasoned legionaries who've served their term and stayed on, to accompany him. The missing equipment happened, legionnaires misplace things only to find them again, the extra legionary was not common. No one had inducted recruits, the first batch were still in training. That meant someone either miscounted or there's a spy.
-
As the three of you enter the locker room, you notice a man standing in the flickering light, shaving in the mirror. Two of your men are unconscious next to the lockers. Immediately you realize he is not one of yours by the look of his body. Your men are thick and heavily muscled as this man is slim and without much bulk, although you get the feeling that this man could be the most lethal man in the room... But who really knows? Totally naked, with no scars of any kind. No weapons, nothing, his eyes meet yours. As the lights flicker out, you see his eyes glow an emerald green while in the shadows as he stares at you in the mirror, straight razor removing the short hair at his throat. He puts the razor down. "I am unarmed." He says, voice steady, calm, and cold. He turns to face you. "Your men are not injured, and if you wish the same, I suggest you listen to me" The man steps forward. "My name is Luthor Grammaticus, and I have information for you."
-
"Speak then, of its this important." The tribune and his two evocati had hands on swords but did not draw them yet. This man luthor, was without a doubt a deadly man, the two legionnaires on the floor proved that. Chances were, he had excellent hand to hand combat training, far superior to that of the legion. So he would proceed carefully, and keep his wits about him.

Edited by Immørtal Fulgrim: 7/14/2016 1:12:34 AM"When you move in on Eldar, there is a high value target that must escape." Begins Luthor as he points to a loose floor tile beneath your feet. Luthor makes a gesture to you, a gesture you used to use when you were hunting as a child, a gesture only you and your brothers knew. The gesture means 'all clear' What manner of information is this man privy to? Your men react strangely to the foreign hand sign. "Kill them all. All except him. I will track this xenos to the whoever is behind this... I already know, but confirmation is required for what happens next." Says Luthor, cold and precise. The implications click in your mind, the Eldar could be working for someone. "Are your men up to the challenge?"
this is your plot, let's see where it goes. So far so good :)
-
"Who is he?" The tribune was very intrigued now, this might take a more difficult turn.
-
One of your men scoops up the documents beneath the tile, handing them to you... As you open it, Luthor's face changes into an expression of hate. "The target is posing as a prisoner, but my Intel indicates that he's running the show on site. He answers to only one." You immediately recognize the picture of the "prisoner" immediately. Ostan Del'Rothas. Luthor turns to leave, but looks over his shoulder. "And Tullius, there are no prisoners. It is a facade to slow us down when the fighting starts, all are traitors."
we could probably continue this in a bigger post and include the others too

okay, I'll make it sometime today
"That's a lot I have to take your word for, the dark eldar are known for taking slaves. How can I know what you say is true. That this man is who you say he is." The tribune had his suspicions about the former senator, but nothing concrete and certainly nothing that he could bring to his superiors.
-
"Think of what could happen if we do not discover the source of this problem, there's only one option. Trust me ot not, you know as well as I do that killing them will not stop whoever is behind this." Says Luthor as he turns back to face you. "What could they be doing in there? Of all the possibilities, none of them would be in our favor. The Eldar don't trust us, especially after the heretical bastard son, Horus, and his traitorous dogs did what they did.... Nothing good can come of this."
-
"The dark eldar are searching for something, my scouts report their parties looking for something amongst what they do not occupy. But I see your point. I will kill any that stand to fight, any that do not flee with be captured and treated as enemies if possible and killed when not."
