Just had more fun in destiny than I have any right to.
So my clan mates and I did a naughty thing last night and split into two groups of three and did classic rumble. But it was for a good cause and weren't boosting, this isn't that kind of post. We started a couple of matches doing a free for all, shooting each other and laughing like idiots. I hadn't felt like this since splitscreen Halo.
But then things got interesting when someone suggested all swords. All of a sudden we couldn't stop giggling as a conga line of us died in succession after bashing each other over the head with empty candlesticks. One titan decided to start skating around the perimeter of the map and it became our job to call a truce to hunt him down, and a custom game was born. It was the best time I'd had on destiny, and as it stands, it's exclusive to people with clans and friends. When I thought about all the hateful people on these forums, it made me sad. They've been struggling to get things nerfed or defend things that are exploits, and they take everything so seriously, there's no way they have friends they can do this with.
It made me realize that it's not custom games you guys want. It's party games. Stupid little diversions in a very serious game. I remember when the Dance emote was the most often used. Designing fun games and diversions is hard, and somehow I doubt bungie will design user-friendly tools for you to make your own, and even if they did, they don't have the storage space for 1000 different bad game modes and 100 good ones. You have to ask Bungie for party games. Juggernaut, bumper sparrows, Infected (with taken), Tomb Husk Football, I want everyone to feel the way I did last night, please upvote for the sake of fun.

3 RepliesOf course halo was made by old bungie. Destiny is a bungie that is a puppet to activision. Sorry guys but out voices dont matter. Its all business. But how can you stop this? WELL BY NOT PRE ORDERING RISE OF IRON! The Iron gjallarhorn is just a trick for people to buy it. But one thing that I think would help is that everyone stops playing for AT LEAST A WEEK OR 3-4 days TO SHOW OUR POWER! They want our money and loyalty? We give it to them and they dont give it back. I have paid $110 from vanilla destiny to TTK AND I AM NOT GOING TO BE A SHEEP! They need our money! We have the power to either give it to them or not! Negotiations need to be made! WE ARE MILLIONS OF PLAYERS THAT IS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS! Spread this around! Take action!

If I could get one wish granted in Destiny, I would wish for a rumble mode where it doesnt count points at all and you could go in a fireteam of 6. A mode just for hanging out with friends and fooling around, or all out warfare with only rewards being honour, glory and bragging rights :) Come to think of it, it would also be a perfect training ground, where you can do the same static scene, but change your setting slighltly to really test the effects of your guns and setup

2 RepliesAll offensive relics you have to choose from: Aegis Shield from VoG, Sword of Crota, Scorch Cannon from HoW, and now Flaming Battle-axe from RoI. In 6v6/3v3 teams have these relics to choose from and vote on what their team gets to use (btw Scorch Cannon has infinite ammo) Maybe called, like 'mayhem relic control' or 'iron banner relic clash'

<Applause> One night we managed a similar feat by getting two synchronized fire teams into the Court... six friends working together, laughing and playing - due to our ability to coordinate we littered the court with bodies... By the end of our session, the court was covered in engrams we couldn't pick up. I wish we could have more times like these... Its all about fun for us... Glad you managed to find the same!

A relic war was suggested back when crota's first came out. They wanted to call it the swords and shields event. Was up voted like crazy but bungie never even acknowledged it.

Great post! The most fun I ever had was doing a nightfall (yr1), with friends and only using melees and supers. This was awesome and hilarious at the same time. Try it out.

But...then they'd have to work for that money being thrown at the screen. Bungie doesn't like to put in more work than the usual 3 mini missions and an "updated" hamster wheel.

Honestly, whether I'm playing with 1 friend or with a full fireteam. I'm always having fun. I bet that most of those complaint posts are all people who don't have anyone to play with.
