Just a reminder asking people to please stop overusing Zhalo. In the last month of heroic strikes and nightfalls there's been Arc burn on five times. (3 heroic, 2 nightfalls) No doubt Zhalo has been THE go-to primary weapon for these strikes. Unfortunately we are all playing into Bungie's evil plans to nerf the Zhalo by removing the arc burn from it. How you ask? Simple. By driving up the usage via high level content with Arc burn, Bungie and the sandbox team can now put out a graph next month saying Zhalo is overused and not the diverse primary choices they intended hence it needs a nerf and the burn removed. Don't fall into their games people! They already got your legendary burn primaries and now almost a full year later they're coming for the exotic one.
I know people will think I'm insane or been hanging out with Eris too long in the tower but I'm right people. Just look at some of the changes and nerfs they've made because a certain weapon or archetype is overused in the game. Autos, Pulses and Hand Cannons have all been nerfed due to overuse at some point. Shotguns? Nerfed several times. Snipers? Major ammo nerf due to overuse. Field Scout, Final Round, Counterbalance, Hammer Forged, etc...All nerfed because those were the only perks people were looking to use. Mida? Average weapon nerfed when it suddenly soared to popularity and became heavily overused in pvp. Gjallarhorn? Nerfed because it was virtually the only heavy weapon being used and idiots demanded you had it or you were blacklisted from raids and such. The nerfhammer is coming for Zhalo and its up to us to try and stop it.
Tldr: Stop overusing Zhalo or Bungie will nerf it because that's how they roll.
-
It's not likely, it's not being overused in crucible, just PvE. Bungie doesn't balance for PvE.
-
Dumb post...they know they are making it arc burn so people will use it
-
Edited by Arpaktico: 7/5/2016 11:33:59 PMThey'll nerf zhalo and buff last word, giving it max impact, fire rate, stability and all three elements into one. Then they'll buff thorn and make it do 300 damage just by pointing it at someone. Then they'll nerf auto rifles and fusion rifles because they "kill people and give the players using them unfair advantage". Then they'll remove pve. Then they'll nerf fusion rifles again
-
If I can't use it when it's most useful then I don't care if they take the arc burn off of it.
-
Yup they only focus on pvp for nerfs, they have never mentioned pve for anything other than gally, ice breaker and black hammer. I actually would not be surprised if they brought back elemental primary guns in ROI....if not, why add a born to strikes in the first place lol.
-
Don't tell me how to play my game.
-
Then tell bungie to create more burn primaries!!!!
-
You're wrong because it's not pvp related!!!
-
They never nerf, Bungie always balance ;P (yeah right ??!!! WTF) If a weapon is too strong in PvP the nerf carries over to PvE. Appart from gjallarhorn and Ice breaker, that were truely game breaking in PvE. Its the only arc burn primary in the game right now that is usable in the end game activities. If they don't want us to use it, they need to offer better choices of arc burn primary.
-
Play the game how you want to play it. If Bungie nerfs fun then they'll lack fund$ from people leaving.
-
You're on to something my friend. If a weapon or perk is used its because IT WORKS. Other perks and weapons should follow suit in being buffed or reworked to be on that tier of usage. if it's being used the most you obviously have to work so the other weapons perform just as well, not the other way around.

Edited by jdawg23x: 7/5/2016 11:13:41 PMI would like to say you're paranoid but the way things have been going it's hard not to believe they manipulate the way the game is played. The sad part is that this is the mentality Bungie has given to some of it's players. The fact they control how we play the game by stating "we didn't intend destiny to be played that way.." I bought the game so that I CAN enjoy it for myself, not to play YOUR way Bungie. That is the problem with an all online game. Either way I'm playing less and less, not that it matters, I just want players to think for themselves. Question everything and come up with your own answer.
-
1. For bungie to make a graph showing statistics they'd actually have to check statistics They don't. Those charts are drawn by their kids 2. Everything that has been nerfed has come as a direct result of whiney retards crying about it Nobody is whining about zhalo in strikes so you're safe
-
Lol no
-
I'm gonna be confused if someone isn't using zhalo. We're having fun and everything nerfed guardians were crying for months in the forums for. Zhalo is the only primary that an experienced guardian should be using during an arc burn strike.
-
I'm thinking zhalo is safe from that. People mainly seem to care about pvp for nerfing. Pve just gets to suffer the consequences of the pvp meta. It isn't gjallerhorn and isn't in high demand for specific activities like ToM.
-
That's not exactly true. It's really Bungie's fault because there the ones that programmed the nightfalls to have random burns. Plus you don't see a lot of people running around with Zhalo in the crucible, Also most of the changes you mentioned were PVP FOCUSED. I don't see a lot of people using Zhalo in pvp or pve. Unlike Fatebringer it, isn't top choice for pve. It's also EXOTIC. so you have to make the choice, do you either want Zhalo and give up something like plan c or Bolt Caster
-
So we are not allowed to use weapons that match the burn that week? Basically what you are saying because anytime there is a burn we will chose a weapon with that specific burn. Regardless if it's on frequently. Get a grip son.
-
Edited by gramps: 7/5/2016 10:18:52 PMDon't use it incase we can't use it anymore. Ok, got it.
-
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
-
They have never taken the elemental damage off a weapon and dont bring up some beta or alpha bullshit or something you heard or saw on reddit its never been done and they wont do it now.
-
Or do the opposite and believe that they want us to power through Strikes as an easy way to grind rep to make up for the crap going on the PVP side of the game.
-
These guys share the same beliefs...nothing arc in sight. These were 2 of my teammates running heroics earlier.
-
Bungie Conspiracies
-
I'm sure they were fully aware that Zhalo use would spike when they added Arc Burn, for a month. They're not gonna need something they built an environment around its use, idiot.
-
Sounds like something they would do.
