PSA: Stop using Zhalo for Arc burn activities!
Just a reminder asking people to please stop overusing Zhalo. In the last month of heroic strikes and nightfalls there's been Arc burn on five times. (3 heroic, 2 nightfalls) No doubt Zhalo has been [u]THE[/u] go-to primary weapon for these strikes. Unfortunately we are all playing into Bungie's evil plans to nerf the Zhalo by removing the arc burn from it. How you ask? Simple. By driving up the usage via high level content with Arc burn, Bungie and the sandbox team can now put out a graph next month saying Zhalo is overused and not the diverse primary choices they intended hence it needs a nerf and the burn removed. Don't fall into their games people! They already got your legendary burn primaries and now almost a full year later they're coming for the exotic one.
I know people will think I'm insane or been hanging out with Eris too long in the tower but I'm right people. Just look at some of the changes and nerfs they've made because a certain weapon or archetype is overused in the game. Autos, Pulses and Hand Cannons have all been nerfed due to overuse at some point. Shotguns? Nerfed several times. Snipers? Major ammo nerf due to overuse. Field Scout, Final Round, Counterbalance, Hammer Forged, etc...All nerfed because those were the only perks people were looking to use. Mida? Average weapon nerfed when it suddenly soared to popularity and became heavily overused in pvp. Gjallarhorn? Nerfed because it was virtually the only heavy weapon being used and idiots demanded you had it or you were blacklisted from raids and such. The nerfhammer is coming for Zhalo and its up to us to try and stop it.
Tldr: Stop overusing Zhalo or Bungie will nerf it because that's how they roll.

This allows certain fire teams to be extremely efficient and is unfair for people who play alone. We did not intend it to be this way. Starting next week, you will no longer be able to talk to other guardians while playing destiny. All mics will be disabled."

Would taking the arc damage from it really do anything though? People only seem to use it if its arc burn.

If year two had a whole bunch of primaries with elements, Zhalo would be welcomed. But since it is the only year two primary with an element, it is not welcome. It should have been saved for a time with other elemental primaries. This is coming from a beta, year one player who farmed raids for elemental primaries. Zhalo, should not exist at this time.

6 RepliesIf bungie doesn't like Zhalo they can nerf it without getting us to use it a lot. If we asked why they nerfed it they can create fake graphs. It will be sad though because Zhslo is probably one of the only true year 2 exotics. (Most year 2 exotics suck)

Lol love it. Thank god they barely care about PVE (wait, what?). Personally I think they're favoring arc b/c otherwise Zhalo would never leave the vault.

It's not likely, it's not being overused in crucible, just PvE. Bungie doesn't balance for PvE.
