Just a reminder asking people to please stop overusing Zhalo. In the last month of heroic strikes and nightfalls there's been Arc burn on five times. (3 heroic, 2 nightfalls) No doubt Zhalo has been THE go-to primary weapon for these strikes. Unfortunately we are all playing into Bungie's evil plans to nerf the Zhalo by removing the arc burn from it. How you ask? Simple. By driving up the usage via high level content with Arc burn, Bungie and the sandbox team can now put out a graph next month saying Zhalo is overused and not the diverse primary choices they intended hence it needs a nerf and the burn removed. Don't fall into their games people! They already got your legendary burn primaries and now almost a full year later they're coming for the exotic one.
I know people will think I'm insane or been hanging out with Eris too long in the tower but I'm right people. Just look at some of the changes and nerfs they've made because a certain weapon or archetype is overused in the game. Autos, Pulses and Hand Cannons have all been nerfed due to overuse at some point. Shotguns? Nerfed several times. Snipers? Major ammo nerf due to overuse. Field Scout, Final Round, Counterbalance, Hammer Forged, etc...All nerfed because those were the only perks people were looking to use. Mida? Average weapon nerfed when it suddenly soared to popularity and became heavily overused in pvp. Gjallarhorn? Nerfed because it was virtually the only heavy weapon being used and idiots demanded you had it or you were blacklisted from raids and such. The nerfhammer is coming for Zhalo and its up to us to try and stop it.
Tldr: Stop overusing Zhalo or Bungie will nerf it because that's how they roll.

Removing the burn would literally make it useless, or at least nonsensical. The Exotic perk is based entirely on the fact that it does Arc damage, for Queen's sake!

Edited by Tunnelslap: 7/6/2016 2:37:32 PMShut up you don't even know what your talking about! We have only been using zhalo because of the modifiers of the strike and night fall. If it was void burn would we be using zhalo NO! So stop complaining and be happy that your getting the strike or nightfall done!
-
Sorry but no dice. Arc burn is the only time I use it... why would I even carry it. Its nothing but a shard if you don't use when intended... I use legendary for everything else. So.... Na i'ma keep melting arc burn activities.
-
Huh, you know. He is right tho. The over usage would cause a nerf. (If they use PvE stats in they're Nerf-A-Thon. I use the Tower and the Vault everyday, how come they haven't nerf those?
-
It's literally the only time I'm going to use it. Other than small arms and arc burn I'm not even interested.
-
Bungie wants to nerf it so they are making you overuse it so it can be justified.
-
I'm going to pretend my 5 year old nephew wrote this and I'll withhold my thoughts.
-
I used bolt caster and omg... twaz beautiful
-
They don't need pve activities because the opposition can't cry to bungie. Gjallerhorn was overused in year one raids. They kaput it the same didn't they?
-
Is this a joke?
-
So if I use it they will take arc damage away? And if I don't use it it will keep its arc damage? Do you see why this is retarded?
-
I will use what ever I want, stop telling me and others what to do with our game. Thanks, kind regards Richard lol
-
Use a necro. I did. Works as good as the zhalo.
-
Zhalo is an exotic. The raid primaries were legendary. They didn't have a downside.
-
They nerf weapons based on pvp, not pve.
-
It will only be nerfed if it's abused in PVP
-
It's not being overused in pvp, so streamers are not crying about it. It's safe.
-
Conspiracy!
And i love it!
-
As long as people dont overuse zhalo in pvp bungie doesnt care :)
-
Hahahahahaha remove the arc burn from zhalo ha that's a good one
-
Fatebringer for the win! Oh wait...
-
Who cares? I will still use it.
-
you are shit at satire.

Though I highly doubt they would use this data to nerf Zhalo, it wouldn't surprise me if they used this data to show how much player weapon choice varies with a burn in place. They're testing us to see if bringing back primary weapons with a burn will reduce the guns we use to just those with a burn rather than our otherwise favorite gun when a burn isn't in place.

While I do get the basic argument and I agree that Bungie might nerf the Supercell Zhalo if it is overused, the problem is that Zhalo is the only Year 2 primary with Arc Burn ( heck, it's the only Year 2 Primary with a burn ). With the recent nerfs to how much much Special and Heavy ammo we can carry, Bungie has kind of forced our hand, by adding Arc Burn to the Heroic Strike playlist they've severely limited the player base's options.
