Maddness' grip
This new chaos God, although it had not yet attacked the citizens of the imperium, the growing power of its followers. As it killed the others the thirst for power would lead it to attack the people. And yet still they ship brought more men of the imperium, as if to stoke the flame of war.
Such a force was IX Legio, a imperial guard force raised from an agrarian world very reminiscent of Rome in the days of the early empire. Their weapons and armor are modern, shields made of energy, force swords, pila pattern lasguns. Their arrival marked a rise in imperium moral, it was often said many could not suffer to beat the legions of Rome, the cost is always high.
Their arrival also brought with it a strong hatred of chaos, they suffered none of the occult practitioners to live. Strangely, for all their hatred of chaos, xenos were largely unharmed. It was one of the few places in the empire they could live unmolested. Often serving in the specialized auxiliary counterparts of the legions, filling specialist roles.
The recent cooperation with the chaos God would soon be at an end.

Edited by Immørtal Fulgrim: 7/5/2016 3:16:06 AMDeep within the top secret confines of the Imperial HQ aboard the Bloodwrath, a lone figure watches the security feed in a dark room - one hand controlling the camera, the other resting on a heavily modified, silenced pistol. Night vision goggles sit on the table nearby and next to an extremely high tech stealth suit, modified specifically for its wearer to amplify strength, speed, stamina, and to be practically invisible. This man is unknown to everyone aboard the ship, including the Summoner and Libreous-Tibrarium. There are no records of this man anywhere. The man's body is heavily augmented with sub dermal implants that do a variety of nasty things, making this normal looking human just as deadly as any astartes. Luthor Grammaticus suits up for his first face to face interaction in over 200 years.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/149451173/0/0

choas gods are still evil, it is in their nature. Everyone else may be fooled but I am not.

well, if you think you're the one not being fooled, I guess I can't change that. But don't expect people to think you're acting for their overall good lol.

and why would that be? Because I see the threat of chaos? It's not like my suspicions are unfounded.

well, it just so happen that they are.

Well, that's not really what I'm trying to do. But I don't think sacrificing the good of the people on the bloodwrath is truly a price worth paying for one man's uncertainty. Do you?
