A long forgotten gun...

I'm talking about the Pocket infinity. You know. That year one fusion rifle. I think it needs to come back! It was my first exotic and I used it within the first weeks of Destiny. It slowly became one of my favorite exotics. Then it got nerfed and left behind. I recently rediscovered it and in my opinion it should come back. Also it deserves a huge buff. At the moment it's statewise the worst fusion rifle in the game. Low charge rate. Low impact. A almost non existing stability And a magazine size of 3 But that's balanced out by the perks right? Not really. Yes it can shoot fully automatic, but additional to the already low impact, follow up shots deal reduced damage. But shots that miss return to the magazine! True but the chance for that is something like 25%. Which is not that helpful and barely noticeable in a magazine of 3. So what do I think they should do with it? First point: buff the magazine size. Second point: remove the damage reduction. The low stability already balance that. There is no need to reduce the damage. Third point: Buff the chance to return shots. Again the low stability balance that. Fourth point: Buff fusion rifles in PvE. Almost nobody uses them. They can't compete in raids. Let me know that you think!
remember that's my opinion. Feel free to post yours below
Edit: Thank you guys for your awesome feedback!

 • Hey Guardian. I'm a big fan of the Pocket Infinity. Also one of my original go to exotics in the Crucible during year one. It truly was a little overpowered before they adjusted its stats, but for a confident fusion user that didn't actually change how useful the gun was in the crucible. The thing that makes the Pocket Infinity not viable in the crucible was the changes to the special ammo crates. I'd love to see Bungie stats when that happened because absolutely the entire community put it down when this happened because the weapon is known to burn through ammo like crazy. In regards to the stats themselves, there really isn't anything wrong with this exotic. As an exotic it still maintains a very unique feel and is heads above the best exotic Fusion Rifle (Yeah I said it). Plan C is great, but honestly outside of the perk to draw and fire immediately it's outdone by Thesan for power and range and (after the recent FR adjustments) Long Far Gone and Panta Rhei for speed on normal charge. This is of course with good rolls. Back to Pocket Infinity it's missed bullet reload is far above 25%, you can tell this by the audio queue when you fire the gun. It's archetype is unique because it's a slow initial charge rate which would make you think it should have range but it doesn't, probably because the follow up shots are instant so acts like a fast charge Fusion. It will make people disappear at close range no question and the pre charge is different because you can actually start firing before you or the enemy round the corner in a preemptive strike. The stability is for the user to handle due to this but as I said it's a close range Fusion so this shouldn't be that tricky once you're used to the kick. Pocket Infinity is a gun that is just truly fun to use, and if you really want to see that, pull it out next time Mayhem is on as I always do and surprise Year 2 players who have never been melted by the glory that is. Feel free to offer any feedback on this, I really liked this post.
