"Truly?"
He says, curiously.
"I've looked for you for a long time as well. I see you as a sort of... hero."
English
-
"I see you as the same thing!" Gwynevere softly chuckles. "But enough of that, we've came to get you out of this hellish tundra..."
-
"You mentioned friends..." At that instant, Noiratrom steps in the ruined chapel, smiling. Seems he had let her go inside alone on purpose. "Who might you be?" He asks, weary of Noiratrom. He could sense the dark powers that flowed within him. "I am Noiratrom. But I am not your enemy." "I know that name..." He draws his blade. "You are a chaos god." Seems he wasn't too trusting of him. "I am, yes. But if you know of me, you know of my story too." Eli kept his blade pointed at the god, untrusting of the situation.
-
Gywnevere steps between the two, putting her hands up. "He's telling the truth... Have you not felt the disappearance of Slaasesh? Noiratrom slayed it. But if you're not willing to trust him normally, then I'm willing to duel you for it."
-
"Gwynevere, that is not necessary. Please." Eli glared at Noiratrom from beneath his hood. "I have slain many a Slaaneshi. Many of them claiming the loss of their gods at the hands of another. But that isn't enough for me to buy your trust. What do you plan on doing? How did you gain your powers? I must know." Noiratrom then explains his story to the both of them, because typing it all out would take an eternity. I did write his bio. He then explains his plan to defeat Tzeentch. Halfway through the story, Eli had already put his blade down. "Hmph. A benevolent chaos god. Well, I know Isha well. We speak often. If it is the truth that she remains with you, I am willing to follow." "So then, do you pledge yourself to the Verdant Sentinels?" Eli pondered. "Yes. But not for you." He looks at Gwynevere. "For her." He then kneels before Gwynnie, holding his blade flat on his hands. His head hanging low. "I pledge myself to the Grove. As knight. As defender of the people. Of the king." Noiratrom raised any eyebrow, but with a smile. He put his hand on Gwynevere's shoulders, nodding at her. "With Gwynevere the swift as my body and soul, I grant her the powers of proclamation." In a sense, he was basically telling her to do it.
-
Gwynevere places a hand on his head and softly hums, uniting their souls as one and with the Tree of Life.
-
The vines reach out from within her body and into him, linking them together by the sacred bond of the Sentinels. The vines then burrow into his skin, finalizing his pledge. "A warning would have been nice..." He chuckles. "I pledge my sword, my shield and my hammer to you."
-
She smiles. "Thank you..." She pulls back and flexes her hand.
-
He stands back up to his feet, looking at Noiratrom. "So, I suppose I should call you my lord now?" "That would be appropriate..." "Very well then, no opposing that."
-
"Where shall we go next?" She asks Noiratrom.
-
"The realm of the dead Prince." He says, grimly.
-
"Why would anyone be there? Their god is dead."
-
"Why were you in Khorne's realm? She is there on a mission of sorts... and keep in mind that, although Slaanesh is destroyed, it's minions still roam the galaxy."
-
"Alright, you have a point there... Let's go find her then."
-
"She will be in the lair of the Dark Maiden. I suspect she is hunting for something..."
-
"Then I guess we'll have to aid her."
-
"Onwards, then!" Eli chuckles, as he rests his blade on his shoulder. "To save ourselves a damsel in distress." And so, they begin the trek towards the realm of the dead god.
-
Gwynevere smiles at Eli and walks next to him.
-
Eli walks next to her, smiling underneath his hood. "So... we finally meet, huh?" He chuckles.
-
"Yep, but not like how I would have thought."
-
"And how would you have thought of us meeting?"
-
"I thought we would have found one another by chance and ended up fighting off a hoard of Chaos Marines."
-
"Ah, a romantic setting then? The two of us on a sunsetting hill, battling with our backs together, fighting for our lives... that does sound like a very pleasant way to meet my idol."
-
"I feel the same way..." She softly smiles. "But what makes me your idol? You've done more things then me!"
-
"it isn't a matter of how big your talley is." He smiles. "I fight by choice. It was my duty to do so. You... you've been trapped here against your will. You've fought for so long, beyond the point where anyone else would have given up. But you haven't given up at all. Your courage inspired me in my worst moments."
-
She softly smiles. "Thank you, I'm glad I could inspire you to keep moving...."
