The Old Hunter's Arrival
Twas a chilly day, outside of the Dojo. Rain rushed down from clouds above, which darkened the place of learning. It was a fairly normal morning...until the Hunter arrived.
The figure approached the Dojo, allowing you to witness his garments and equipment in general. He was a fairly tall man, lean but still seemed somewhat athletic. A black, shiny top hat concealed his face, though his cheeks were pale and creased. It was obvious that this stranger was fairly old, maybe in his 80s. Wearing a dark brown tattered suit, along with a torn cape that was dirty and somewhat bloodied. At his side, a curved blade that might belong to a scythe gleamed brightly, and markings could be etched out on its side. On the man's back, a large bendable stick, made of metal and had wrappings of clothing around it, simply sat in a sheath, alongside a blunderbuss-like gun.
The man looked awfully outdated and intimidating, but seemed to not pose a threat. Not now, anyway. He looked up at the Dojo, his silver eyes scanning the area. And he spoke, with a quiet, kind voice...
"I request entry...into this Dojo."
The man waits for a response.
Open to...everyone, I assume. Go ahead, throw yourselves out there!
A massive hand opens the gate door, revealing a hulking twelve-foot tall giant. His body seems to be completely covered in chrome armor, the crest of the Abyss Watchers carved in it's chest. A massive ten-foot long war-hammer rests on his shoulder, the head two feet thick. The links between the joints in the armor are laced with bright embers, smoking and contouring as if alive. Held between his left arm and his body is a massive helmet shaped like the head of a roaring bear. His face is covered in scars and wrinkles, some obscured by a large, grey beard, braided into two separate lines. Atop his head is a mess of long, grey hair that grows downward, the line separating it and his beard lost to the naked eye. His intimidating presence is shattered as a large smile spreads across his face, creating large dimples in his cheeks. Well hello there! I am Balthazar Odin-son, last of the Abyss Watchers! Who might you be, if I may ask? As he speaks, he lays his hammer of the ground and holds out his massive hand, as if asking for a handshake.
-
The old man smiles, and approaches you, shaking your hand. He appears to be around 8 feet tall, but looks up at you with dark gray eyes. "I am Gerhman, the First Hunter. Tis an honor meeting you, Balthazar. Don't mind my garb. I've had to deal with some...disturbances." The curbed blade to his side is somewhat bloody.
-
Balthazar shakes his head in a hefty laughter, his beard shaking with every laugh. No worries my new friend, but I must ask you. What trouble do you speak of? I know not of any dangers, but still must know so I may eradicate the threat of them. Well, that is if you have not already, by the looks of your sword!
-
The old man chuckles. "Just a beast, tis all. Large, wolf-like creature. I wonder about who they were before they...transformed."
-
Balthazar shrugs. I am not one to contemplate these types of things with, as I am not the most... Philosophical. I can't help but hope that they were atleast a good person in life, before becoming a beast.
-
"Terrible fate, it is. I only hope that he's in a better place. Anyhow, I should be a little more positive. Might you know of a Lieutenant? If you do, could you tell them that I await my trial?"
-
Balthazar nods, turning towards the door. No problem, my new friend. I will be right back! He walks inside momentarily and calls out for a lieutenant.
one sec, let me go msg in the chat.
-
"Thank you, my friend."
Thanks, lol
