The Old Hunter's Arrival
Twas a chilly day, outside of the Dojo. Rain rushed down from clouds above, which darkened the place of learning. It was a fairly normal morning...until the Hunter arrived.
The figure approached the Dojo, allowing you to witness his garments and equipment in general. He was a fairly tall man, lean but still seemed somewhat athletic. A black, shiny top hat concealed his face, though his cheeks were pale and creased. It was obvious that this stranger was fairly old, maybe in his 80s. Wearing a dark brown tattered suit, along with a torn cape that was dirty and somewhat bloodied. At his side, a curved blade that might belong to a scythe gleamed brightly, and markings could be etched out on its side. On the man's back, a large bendable stick, made of metal and had wrappings of clothing around it, simply sat in a sheath, alongside a blunderbuss-like gun.
The man looked awfully outdated and intimidating, but seemed to not pose a threat. Not now, anyway. He looked up at the Dojo, his silver eyes scanning the area. And he spoke, with a quiet, kind voice...
"I request entry...into this Dojo."
The man waits for a response.
Open to...everyone, I assume. Go ahead, throw yourselves out there!

Yeah, he/she told me. Balthazar seems like a pretty chill dude tho :(. Kinda reminds me of Reinhardt from Overwatch.
-
I can see the similarities. As I said before, it was an accident. Got a little too enthusiastic with an attack and smashed half of her body. Had to use Po to heal her.

I think Gerhman's second stage would be a little like that. May as well tell the story. Since Gerhman is the "First Hunter", he was the first to ever access a place known as the Hunter's Dream. He was declared the Host of the Dream by the Moon Presence, an entity from another realm. As such, Gerhman in his second phase can attack at lightning speed, and is way more offensive than before, ignoring wounds,
-
Balthazar just tends to tank things and swing around his hammer whilst bombarding his opponent with masses of fire. His second form is... Potent, to say the least. I'm probably not going to use it against other people unless they specifically request for me to use it due to it increasing his speed to the point where he can match most speed based characters. That paired with his massive size, tanky-ness and power creates a really, really strong opponent.
-
Gerhman can...somewhat tank. He has a limit before he snaps, buts once he's a Hunter, he handles damage surprisingly well.
-
He seems like a nice character. Eventually, once you get in, we should have a friendly duel.
-
Yeah, he's meant to be the "good guy" in a way. Honorable, trustworthy, those qualities. The Doll will be just as friendly, since she's a more passive, kindhearted character. The second fighting character that I'll bring in will be a more violent character, probably not as much as a "good guy". Or in her case, gal.

Nice! I can't wait to meet them!
-
Good to hear. Sounds great, really!
*The gate opens a little and a cat/wolf creature pokes his head out. There is a patch of blue fur that covers almost all of his face and he speaks in a strange, unidentifiable accent.* "Who are you supposed to buh?"
-
Edited by OldManGehrman: 7/3/2016 9:49:11 PMThe man chuckles a little before responding, clearly not posing an immediate threat. "Although I suppose there's a joke attached to that...I am Gerhman, the First Hunter. I assume this is the Dojo?"
-
"Yes, this is. And I am Sketch, the first (and only) Sphirnian get stuck in another dimension."
-
"Well then. It's a pleasure meeting you, Sketch. How does one enter this place?" Gerhman simply stares at you, inspecting your equipment.
-
Edited by Skatch142: 7/3/2016 10:17:09 PM"Why are you staring at me like that? It's the blue fur on my face isn't it..." *He steps out of the gates, he is wearing cargo shorts and a t-shirt and seems to be completely unarmed except for a metallic claw on each of his fingers and toes. His hands, feet and the top of his tail are blue as well.* "As for joining, you're going to need to fight a lieutenant to gain entry."
-
"Nothing. Just not used to this realm, tis all. As for these Lieutenants... Would you kindly notify them that I am out here, waiting on access?"
-
"Nothing. Just not used to this realm. Then again, I come from a more remote, horrific place. Have you ever heard of a city known as Yharnam?"
-
Yes
"No... Where is that?"
-
Oh?
"Beautiful place. Only...the town is in complete conflict. Beasts roam the streets in bloodlust, and so, Hunters are sent out to slay them. And I am the first of these...Hunters."
-
Boodborn right?
"That place does not sound fun... Well, I'm from another dimension... I was working on a machine that generates wormholes when my vision went completely white and I woke up lying on the ground in the woods."
-
Bloodborne, yes.
"Sounds terrible. Would you be able to go back to wherever you came from?"
-
"No, I can't go back... Wormholes are supposed to bend, space but in my case a hole was torn in it... I don't have enough resources or knowledge on how it actually works to rebuild one either... I worked in a lab and was doing maintenance when it happened."
-
Edited by OldManGehrman: 7/3/2016 10:53:13 PM"Unfortunate. We are alike, in a way. Two strangers in new places. Well, you're probably not a stranger to this place."
-
"I've been in this dimension for about two years and I'm learning new stuff every day... As for the Dojo, I've only been here a few months so it's still a pretty new place to me... I am one of the more unusual seeming people here though what with how I look and whatnot.
-
"I have no problem with looks. Look at me. An old, outdated bloke, practically. Ah, well. I suppose it's time you get on your way."
-
"Well, I live here so there isn't really anywhere else for me to go... It was good meeting you and I'll see if I can send a lieutenant."
