The Round Table.
As Feryun walks through the portal back to his master's realm, he lands in front of the Emerald palace, in the bright grass. In his hands, he carries the tablet that was the Shadowlight artefact. The powerful, mysterious stone pulsates with energy, and the sorcerer puts it down on the ground, in part because he was afraid of its power. Two of the royal guardians of the palace had approached the wizard, but upon recognizing Feryun's metal chassis, they sent for Noiratrom at once. Rapidly, the king approached the wizard.
"Feryun, your search was fruitful?"
He says, in his powerful deep voice.
"Yes, my lord. I have found the Artefact, just where I had left it. Although I must warn you... it's magics are still a mystery to me." he replied, in his metallic voice.
"I understand your worries. I will keep it under lock until its secrets can be uncovered."
Noiratrom, with a mere thought, made the tablet levitate. The two guardians approached him, carrying a golden Ark. Thr god then descended the tablet into the ark, which was then sealed afterwards. It would be carried deep into the vaults, where it would remain to be observed and experimented.
"But with that business concluded, we have more urgent matters to attend to, my sorcerer."
"Your wish is my command, lord. I shall assist you in any way that I can. After all, you have gifted me with my sorceries..."
"I did so because you will need them... I have shared my plan with you. Come, walk with me."
Feryun stood back up, and followed Noiratrom into the palace.
"While the war against Khorne will rage, we are forced to divide our attention. I will be split into two. My primary spirit will remain here, to secure the front. And, to help in the illusion... my second spirit, albeit much weaker, will be accompanying you in the search."
"The search, my lord? The search for artifacts of Mephet'ran?"
"Not quite yet... first, we must gather thr sentinels."
They then enter a room wherein a table rested. It was a circular room, in which seven thrones rested. Each throne was ornate in a specific fashion, as if it had been designed for a particular person. At the center of the room, a strange map. It was ever changing, showing real time. It could point to anywhere in the universe, including the warp. Currently, the map was showing the Realm of Evergreen. They could see every tree with unspoken clarity, including the village, and the townspeople that lived in it. Feryun observed in amazement at all of this, but wondered.
"My lord... what is the use of this? Who are the sentinels?"
"A good question, Feryun. Please, take your seat."
Noiratrom sat at the throne designed after him, which was the biggest of the thrones. To his right was Feryun's. The sorcerer seated.
"To accomplish my task, I have need of the greatest warriors that ever were. And they must be willing to work for us. I have found five other candidates, that would work with you and I. Once the five are gathered, we can begin our hunt for the Tesseract vaults. And once we have gathered as many artifacts as we can, we will go seek the black library, and Cegorach. And once he has joined us... we will take down Tzeentch. And so, our current mission is to go gather these five champions."
Feryun nodded, taking it all in.
"I see... well, wherever you go, I will follow you. Even if it is to our deaths, my lord."
Noiratrom smiled, then nodded.
"Our first recruit is wandering the depths of the warp. More specifically, the Blood God's domain. She is caught in an endless gauntlet. At her feet pile the dead of the warp, destined to return eternally into defeat."
The map warps and changes to show the realm of Khorne, then zooms in on the tree of souls.
"That is where we go."
The map then turns into a portal, leading straight into the blood god's domain.
"When I step through the portal, my soul will be fragmented. The blood god will not suspect a thing. But I will be made considerably weaker."
Around him, his armour materializes. On his head, the helm of Alpharius, his brother.
Feryun nods, and steps through.

"Let us make haste. The Sentinels must grow in number, before we can tackle the vaults." With Gwynevere having joined his ranks, Noiratrom sets off for the Bastion stairs. This trek will bring them across the great bulwark, down the Wrathgate and through the frozen peaks of Tzeentch's realm. It will be a long and harduous journey, but nothing will overcome these brave knights.
-
Gwynevere walks with them, her rapier on her hip as she watches the entire area. "We should be careful.... There was a huge warp worm last time I was here..."
-
"There are warp storms all around... the path through the mountains should keep us relatively safe." Noiratrom leads the group. "So, Gwynevere... tell me, what do you know of Eli?"
-
"One of the only people I know of to survive a entire chapter of Chaos Marines attacking them... Daemons actively hunt him because of how many he has killed.... The only person I can think of who has done that much and is still walking would be me!" Gwynevere softyl chuckles.
-
He smiles. "So you know of him... have you ever sought him yourself?"
-
"Yes, mostly because he's a valuable ally. You can't have too many of those around here."
-
"I take it you haven't had much luck... but I assure you we will find him. I have been watching the both of you for a long time, awaiting for the right moment."
-
"And I'm guessing when I was fighting those waves of daemons for years was the right time?"
-
"You were always ready. But, moving around, preparation, all needed to be set perfectly, you see. No hard feelings? Besides, I'm taking you to see your hero..."
-
She blushes. "He's not my.... Alright, maybe he is my hero..."
-
"I understand why he is. His tales spread throughout both warp and realspace. The stories of his bravery, his fearlessness. A role model for anyone, really." He smiles as they walk. After a bit, they reach the end of the mountain trail, and descend upon the wrathgate.
-
She watches the area before relaxing. "Yeah, the Warp Worm isn't here anymore..."
-
"But now, we may have more trouble to deal with. This area is rich with Daemons..."
-
She nods and readies herself for anything.
-
"We must advance carefully." He readies his weapons, walking over the mounds of dried blood and bones. "I sense bloodletters ahead. Are your wounds healed?"
-
Gwynevere draws her rapier and nods. "Yes, I'm ready for more."
-
As they approach, the group of Bloodletters turn their attention to them, screeching like the mad beasts they are. Noiratrom raises his maul and fires with his ornate heavy bolter, the bullets crashing into the daemons, tearing them up.
-
Gwynevere blurs across the battlefield, thrusting and attacking the Bloodletters before they could react.
-
Her speed was more than a match for their brute strength. While their attacks would do much damage to her if they had hit, they were utterly pointless if they couldn't land them, and that's exactly what Gwynevere was giving them. After all, she wasn't known as The Swift for nothing...
-
Within a minute, she had reduced their ranks to nothing. "And that's finished..."
-
Noiratrom puts down his gun. "And that's why I chose you. Good work..."
-
"Thanks..." She puts her sword away
-
He walks past the corpses, walking along the edge of the cliff and unto the spiraling staircase. "Careful. The steps here are very dangerous."
-
She nods and carefully walks down them.
-
A few minutes later, and they had gotten halfway through the stairs. And already, it was getting colder. A chilling feeling took hold of their bodies as they walked. Yet, they didn't physically feel cold. It was as if the temperature was felt at the back of their minds. An odd sensation indeed. But nothing unusual, considering they were crossing into the mad god's realm.
