First, I get it. Maintaining the destiny environment for legacy consoles is a pain. But I have to wonder if the developers actually understand the cost implications to its players, the many of us that have been around for some time now.
This sucks!
What is even worse is the two following points: 1) neither new platform consol supports the legacy version of destiny. And 2) the new content coming out in Sept requires that you have the TTK content.
So, if I want to continue to enjoy the best destiny has to offer, not only do I have to buy the new$60 content, but I also need to buy another$50 version of the content I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR!
WHAT THE ____?!?
That does not even begin to address the cost of the New console, the cost of the Internet, nor access through xbox live, or equipment upgrades to handle the additional bandwidth to support the new consoles requirements.
I don't know guys...
I was pretty dissatisfied when TTK first came out. So much so that I essentially stopped playing for something like 6 months. I actually just started playing destiny again a few weeks ago - now this...
Much of what really got under my skin has been substantially improved. But the whole idea that I need to buy the same thing twice... Well, I can say this much, that ain't gonna fly ladies an gentlemen. Not by a long shot.
I don't care how you do it, let me trade my legacy game in for a new platform version, or give me the old content for free if I buy the new stuff. But if you expect or desire to keep me playing this game, you need to do something. I am not buying the same thing twice.

Edited by Sanctus Michael: 7/3/2016 12:56:28 AMFirst, there are no new Internet requirements. If anything I lowered my Internet download speed pre Nov 2013 to now. Secondly, you actually SAVE xbl gold money with x1. On 360, if I had 3 people in my family that use xbox live for gaming, all 3 needed live gold. With x1, only 1 gamertag needs live gold, and as long as the console is listed as "my xbox" to the profile with gold, ALL gamertags on that console have gold. Yes, you need to get ttk over again, that sucks. But ttk came out a year ago, Sept 2015. X1 came out Nov 2013. If you saved $16 a month when x1 was released, you could pay for the least expensive x1 by Sept 2014. But you decided to wait. This is the cost of waiting, buying ttk again is the cost. "He who hesitates is lost." Are you crying to Bethesda because skyrim was for 360 but eso wasn't? Or that FO new Vagas or FO3 was for 360 but FO4 wasn't? Are you crying about overwatch not being for 360? I get paid biweekly. Each paycheck I pull out and save $25. Having $12.50 less each week to spend on bullshit easily goes unnoticed. Less Mcdonalds or going out with friends. By November 2017 I'll have saved enough for Scorpio. You should have done something similar for x1/ps4. Not like we didn't have a year warning. Btw, diligent saving from each paycheck was how I preordered TWO Day One edition xbox ones (1 for the bedroom and 1 for the living room). Your lack of preparation is your fault, not ours. Look for ttk on ebay. Look for an x1 on ebay. You can buy cars on ebay. You'd be surprised what you'd find. (Or best offer means you can negotiate down the price) Ttk, 29.99 or best offer: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252446475157 X1 with accessories $187 including shipping OR BEST OFFER: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222174685540 So please. You all on 360 and ps3 are full of crying ass bullshit. You waited 3 years since x1 and ps4 release. Deal with the consequences of waiting. Smh, THREE YEARS!!! By Nov 2017 x1 and ps4 won't even be the latest models anymore. How much longer did you honestly expect 360 and ps3 to be usuable? Wtf, man?
