I think there might be some small confusion on what we both define as "sniping'.
You say that any person can pick up a sniper and get kills, and I agree. Anyone, and I mean, anyone, can pick up a sniper, camp in the back, and hard-scope a lane for the entire game. In that scenario, it doesn't come down to gun skill, it comes down to reaction time. But that isn't sniping, because anyone can camp and get kills. The same is said for any weapon in this game.
Actual sniping is moving around, not hard-scoping, not camping, but actually doing more than making smores.
As for usage, I never said that snipers aren't used and don't dominate, I merely stated that they were not as prominent as shotguns. One runs into less skilled players in these playlists, and thus, one encounters more shotguns. In Trials, which I never even mentioned, snipers are used more because Trials is more competitive. You don't see noobs as much as other playlists, thus, less shotguns.
Not everybody body shots then uses a primary. For some of us, who actually have skill, we can hit headshots, and then we have an 82% headshot kills.
When you get shot, there is significant flinch on a sniper. Flinch was increased since 1.0, and sniping while under fire takes a tremendous amount of skill to perform.
Finally, given that you only have 32 kills with snipers, you can not fully analyze snipers and make an unbiased opinion about them. It's clear from your arguments that you do not understand how a sniper works, and this is unfortunate, as I would gladly debate a seasoned sniper user, not a shotgun warrior who misses their ridiculous year 1 felwinter's.

Edited by Atlas: 7/1/2016 4:12:52 PMFirst off I never used fel winter, thorn, last word, or any broken weapon back in the day I don't use skilless weapons which is why I don't favor snipers and when you describe noobs using shotguns I really have to disagree any player can pick up any gun and use it and yes shotguns used to be the noobs weapon and some noobs still use them but I ve favored shotguns and CQC since the beginning and snipers wheren't as bad as they were due to reliable counters through good primaries. But now snipers run rampant and based on how upset your getting by reducing yourself to name calling (which you shouldn't because your intelligent and not a bad player) makes it seem that my debate has merit. Also don't forget to mention how every sniper back then used luck in the chamber and final round perks and glitches to get easy skilless kills because any noob who picks up a sniper and uses some of the disgraceful ways of using theme. Also this whole shotgun warrior thing if someone who has good reaction time and enjoys getting up in someone else face make them "bad" then what do you call someone who camps in the back of map Harding scoping down lanes? Which any decent players knows how to avoid. Also if a person is using a sniper that's consider sniping like how if someone uses a shot gun their shot gunning

Yes, because addressing others in a civil manner is "name-calling". I'm sorry, but I can no longer take you seriously. It is evident from your ignorant comments that you do not grasp how a sniper works, and are merely a sub-par player complaining about something you can't possibly counter. It's a shame, really, as I enjoy debates, but only with knowledgable, unbiased players. You merely care about your own success, regardless of the detriment to the balance of the game, thus making any argument or debate useless, as no matter how valid a point one may present, you will simply refuse to accept it.

No will accept any valid point you provide and I haven't seen any all of I've seen is that because I have a low amount of sniper kills my point are invalid. The easy to handle point wasn't properly addressed either I was talking about switching yet you didn't mention it. Maybe I'm missing something which is fine and I will read over our converstion. But when you use this term of shotgun warrior as a insult that is name calling. Also despite what my K/D says I am not a sub par player just because I was bad at crucible when I started doesn't mean I am now. I would need like 400 something kills without dying once to balance it out. And if you think you can pull that off and go a 400 something kill streak in crucible be my guest.
