Penalties
The overriding message of Blizzard’s current competitive player conduct rules? DO NOT LEAVE MATCHES. If you leave early or are inactive for too long, you won’t be able to play another match until the one you were in has been completed. You can rejoin the match you left, and if you don’t, you’ll get a penalty.
If you keep on violating this rule, you’ll start getting locked out of competitive play for increasing amounts of time. Do it too much, and you’ll get banned for the whole season.
So yeah, don’t leave. Never leave. Shouldn’t be too hard. We are all in a symbiotic relationship with Overwatch now. It is simply The Way Of Things.

C'mon Bungie. Have a little guts in controlling you're playerbase from doing things that disrupt gameplay.
And before it starts I don't give a crap about the 'justified' reasons for leaving a match. If you leave early there should be a penalty.

This little game I play has a rule: leave 2 games within 24 hours and you have to wait 2 minutes after choosing which gamemode you want to play before it even puts you into the queue, they should do that.

Competitive play in destiny is Trials and they punish you for leaving that.
-
I think that's stupid. You don't know the reason why someone had leave. Plus it's a game.

I think they need to sort the lag out on the game before worrying about people leaving. 99% of the time people leave due to the lag being awful. if they want to punish people they need to get their house in order first. overwatch is on dedicated servers. some of the crucible games I play i can put 8 bursts of a pdx through someones face and not kill them. I wont stay in a lobby where its impossible for me to play properly. plus they still havent worked out how to deal with cheats. look at overwatch who came out and said any cheating will be a perma ban and have enforced it. bungie still has trials infested with lag switchers and ddosers. I agree once bungie has sorted out the lag/networking, installed dedicated servers and perma banned the cheats then yeah of course punish people quitting. but not before that.

Odds are that overwatch doesn't have all the laggy bullshit that destiny does. If the servers are just as shitty, then they will lose their playerbase. No one should have to play in a match full of red bar warriors.

Seems reasonable to me.

Edited by Kone19ps: 7/1/2016 10:47:07 PMBungie does penalize trials quitters. There is no other competitive mode also don't they have dedicated servers to actually do that fairly

Nice. I like the penalty: fair and logical.
