Rather than all men running, ALL bailed. They sprinted away as JT and Vasquez eventually showed up.
Keep in mind this is still my faction, please don't narrate them for me, thank you.

hue, I'm merely stating what seems to be the obvious. And it's for the betterment of the plot.
As the ranks of Daemons began breaking upon the troops, they heard a sound running over the screams of the damned. Treads. Over the hill rolled entire columns of Leman Russ battle tanks. The mighty armoured vehicles were equipped with various different loadouts, which they all unleashed upon the ranks of Daemons. Bloodletters were sent flying like ragdolls then disappears in plumes of warp smoke. Following the tanks were ranks of Tempestus Scions, of the Baltic Manticores. Equipped with their hotshot hellguns, they drove the armours of the chaos marines to devastation, leaving a pile of fleshy cinders where they once stood.
-
Eventually the fleeing soldiers stood behind their leader and the Captain, as the entire army of the NWH looked over to the soldiers and Chaos Marines. JT was just as surprised as the rest of the army in truth.
-
They chased the chaos forces to their deaths, then stood down when the danger was away. The forces came to a stand, but kept their guard up. "Now this, this is truly wonderful. A cowboy and a bird (in all honesty, I think I remember the other guy being birdman) rally a bunch of civilians to throw them to their deaths. Truly wonderful." Slowly but surely, Eleanor Lancaster, Tempestor prime of the Manticores, was moving through the troops, making her way to JT. Her two Scion bodyguards made sure a path was open to her through the masses of civilians.
keep in mind her opinion and mine differ greatly on your faction, I actually am a really big fan of the whole minutemen vibr.
-
Vasquez was the captain accompanying JT lol, none of the NWH generals are present here.
"Eleanor Lancaster, to what do we owe this pleasure?" Vasquez inquired. He knew the pair were either -blam!-ed, in luck, or a strange mixture of both.
-
"To the fact that I get a paycheck for making sure no Imperial citizen dies in such ridiculous circumstances." The woman finally reached him. She was tall, about six feet in height, clad in her Scion carapace armour. Her helmet faceplate descended straight down her face, hiding her identity. Her arms were crossed, and she had her Tempestor coat hanged over her shoulders. Her hell pistol was holstered, but she wore her power claws. "Now comes the fatal question. What are you two bloody stupid mongrels doing?"
-
JT felt a sense of pride knowing that he stood taller than her, even when not using any augs, as he was standing tall at 6'3. Though he was the first one to speak up out of the two. "We were walking through the halls, these things ambushed us. Really I don't see why any punishments would be necessary."
-
She laughed. Height meant nothing. She knew men smaller than him that he wouldn't even reach their ankle. "No punishment? For you dragging three hundred men to their deaths? You must either be the worst self-proclaimed tactician in the galaxy, or either you're just a plain idiot. Although I'm tempted to believe the two. You do know I could have yoy both arrested and put through martial trial for that little stunt?" And even though she was a bit shorter than him, she was most likely one of the most intimidating woman in JT's life. Right after his own mother.
-
JT didn't have a biological mother, as he was created in a testing tube, and his adopted mother was already dead. So, all fear he had of this woman was the most he had for any so far, aside from a select few he's met in his life before the Bloodwrath. He was typically a damn good tactician despite this stunt, his only problem though was being severely outgunned. Because he was leading a militia, he didn't exactly have access to higher grade materials and weaponry. The only things worthwhile he had were his own augmentations. "I apologize ma'am, although me and my men here were heavily outgunned. He were just attempting to find a place to set up shop onboard this vessel, as so many others had done before." He was honest about it. The NWH's goal for this encounter was to just find a suitable place to hole up before the Marshal went to find better weaponry and gear for his men. He figured that, if he could scavenge off the dead corpses of soldiers, their weapons would be invaluable.
-
"And you didn't think that the General Quarters, whose sole purpose so far has been to be a hub for imperial forces, was a good enough place?" She sighs. "These poor men are scared out of their lives right now. However noble your intents were, they weren't exactly on solid grounds. The least I can do is escort you to our localized base. If you don't like the GQ, that place is your next best shot."
-
"With all due respect ma'am, our boss here had found a location on his map that would be perfect." Vasquez was informative of the general plans, as there was nothing really to hide. "Our only problems are being underequipped."
-
"Hence why you will come to my place until you're better prepared, equipped and trained. Is that clear?"
-
"Clear. Lead the way." The cowboy responded. He holstered the shotgun be had in his hands, placing it across his back merrily.
-
Her men rallied the civilians, and the little army rolled back towards the Manticores base. "So, your names?"
-
Edited by JayTea: 6/30/2016 12:41:25 AM"I am JT, and this is captain Vasquez." The Frontiersman responded as they went. Vasquez was silent, which was odd given his typically upbeat and jokey demeanor.
-
"Hmph. Seems you already know who I am, avoids me that trouble. I want to make things clear for us, from the start. While I respect the ideal of a Militia, an unsanctioned armed group is dangerous. No matter how trustworthy their leaders are. No offense. I'll have an imperial command group attached to you, so that you become an official organ of the military. With that, I'll be able to officially grant you equipment and vehicles. Understood?"
-
Edited by JayTea: 6/30/2016 12:47:23 AM"Understood. What will we be receiving as this Imperial Command?"
And are you having a say in my military's actions, or will I control this team as well?
-
it'll basically just be your liaison to the other Imperial teams. Although I suggest you start reading up on Comissars soon.
"Well I can't grant you Tempestus gear, that's too high for a simple militia. However, you will be given carapace armour, lasguns, heavy weapons, plasma guns, snipers, and the like. Maybe a few pieces of armour as well."
-
"Excellent, we give you our thanks."
-
"Don't thank me yet... imperial training isn't for the weak. But I'm glad to see bravery in this day and age. Not enough people willing to fight nowadays..."
-
"That's all too true." The cowboy was admittedly not the most pleased with the state of human will in its current form, but he was more certainly pleased with his men.
-
"Well, at the same time, I understand them. What we're up against... it really isn't for everyone. Fear is most certainly present in our current age."
-
"That is also true. Most people wish not to be forgotten as a nameless soldier and preassigned number as well, so that's likely another reason they don't fight. They wish to be remembered by family and friends for ages to come, though without those people standing to fight, there won't be ages. Damn, the Imperium's citizens are depressing."
-
"Well, these are depressing times. But somehow, with the latest events that happened, I feel like the silver lining is finally upon us. I'm not asking for a golden age here. All I want is some peace in my time. This old war dog has seen enough for many, many lifetimes..."
-
"Aye, all of us have. Most people would consider growing up surrounded by war to be incredibly edgy, where I'm from, though to these people it's the life they're given."
-
"Hell, sounds like the people where you're from would hate it on Cadia..." She chuckles, as if she was going down memory lanes. "I still remember the Kasrs."
