The egg snaps open, revealing a swirling darkness inside of it. You are pulled towards it, and whispers of dark promises echo inside your mind. You can sense strong evil coming from inside.

Edited by TwiggierTiger22: 6/28/2016 6:03:16 PM*Valeyard blocks out the voices with ease, drawing up the barriers in his mind. With a look of distaste he snaps his fingers and the egg is consumed in Holy Flames, burning away the darkness* That was not a nice gift.
-
"Not a gift...a test." A voice echoes from within. There, you see a swirling portal appear, with the egg drawn towards. "Do you dare continue?"
-
Dude.... Destroyed the egg. >.>
*Valeyard merely shakes his head and walks away* That was not a proper test. Not one I would undertake.
-
You said you destroyed the darkness, not the egg itself. But, my bad.
The portal begins to close shut, when suddenly, several heavily armed soldiers descend from a helicopter whirling above. One dives into the portal, and it remains open. The other 3 point dangerous and strange looking guns at you. "Hands in the air!"
-
Lol, 'strange and dangerous' Just put what they actually are. Makes you seem a whole lot better at RP.
As you wish.... *He raises his hands, then with a grin, snaps his fingers. Time freezes. The helicopter is frozen in air, it's blades still. The portal is stilled, the patterns of energy holding it open clearly seen. The soldiers are frozen as well, their eyes unseeing. He walks up to one, pulling the rifle from his hands and slips somehow into one of the pockets on his labcoat. He does the same to the rest of the soldiers, then looks up, frowning at the helicopter still frozen above him* That could be a problem.... *He looks down at the gravel path, and gets an idea. Picking up a rock he tosses it at the engine, but before it enters the air intake he snaps his fingers, allowing time to flow again. The soldiers look about, startled as their weapons are now gone. The helicopter's engine begins to pour smoke, and the helicopter tilts and falls at an angle into the ground. Valeyard looks at the soldiers with a patronizing glare* Now, explain yourselves before I have to do something drastic.
-
As the helicopter crashes down, a grizzled man rolls out and lands effortlessly on the ground. He wears a glimmer in diamond on the shoulder of his armor. "We've got a temporal one." He snarls. The men in response each pull out a similar looking gem. The way the energy flows around them, you sense, will prevent them from being frozen in a time stop. The commander speaks again, "this one may be trouble." Then, he addresses you, "where did you get the scroll?"
-
There will be no trouble if you didn't come in so threatening. The scroll merely appeared in the air and it was my duty as a scientist to investigate.
-
The man nods, curtly. "Then you will let us take it, and forget you ever saw it or us, you understand?" You get the feeling that these are not the best of people.
-
Didn't need the narrator to tell me that part...
And your interest in it?
-
"That is none of your concern" snarls the commander, before snatching the scroll up. "We now have the last of the scrolls. Assuming no one else has used it, we can now win the contest for certain." He says into a two way radio.
-
It concerns me, because I wish it to. So, this is a contest of sorts? *He eyes the group, measuring distances* And if I decided it was worth my attention?
-
The commander sneers, "then we would have to make sure you didn't get in the way.
-
Then it appears we are in conflict. Such a shame. *Valeyard cracks his neck, then smirks. Time dilated, slowing to a crawl. He stalks over to the nearest soldier and slams him into the ground, the soldier's mind unable to react fast enough to counter the slowed time. He repeats the process with the rest of them, then stands in front of the leader as he relaxes back into the normal flow. To the soldiers, the events happened within a second, Valeyard only a blur* Very nice those gems. Shame it doesn't work on my race.
-
The commander smiles easily. "Shame it doesn't work on me either." You feel time slow around you, and the soldier is moving just as fast as you are. He draws a long knife, and settles into a combat stance.
-
Edited by TwiggierTiger22: 7/2/2016 3:18:31 AM*Valeyard smirks* Finally something worth my attention. *He reaches down to the ground and picks up a blade of grass. He looks at it, then smiles as he holds it out in a fencing stance* En gardé.
-
The commander growls, and whips out a rifle, firing three quick bullets.
-
*Valeyard parries the bullets away as they approach him at a crawl, having left the effects of the time advancement.* And I thought you would be smarter... *He waves his blade of grass at the man*
-
"I was." You realize the bullets left tiny cuts on you as you partied them away. "Enjoy the poison."
-
With the grass man. >.>
*Valeyard frowns at his blade of grass as it begins to wither* Now that was very illogical. Who makes poison bullets? *He bends down and picks another blade of grass, inspecting it* There.
-
"Well it wasn't so much poison, as it was a virus." Suddenly, you feel very woozy, and sickness begins to overcome you.
-
*Valeyard feels no such effects, his Time Lord biology immune to all human diseases* A virus? How crude. No style whatsoever. *He moves forwards with timeless grace, slapping the soldier across the face and exposing his neck. With a simple slice, he opens the throat of his opponent. Skipping back to avoid the spurt of blood he slaps the body into the ground, smirking* Somewhat worth of my time.
-
The commander crawls back up to his feet. The slice on his neck sealing up quickly, leaving no scar behind. "Been awhile," he smiles, chuckling, "since I've had a fight this good. But this, you don't have an answer to." He reaches to a sheath you hadn't noticed on his back and draws a long shining sword. The blade glints darkly, a Japanese weapon, styled after the katanas samurai used. "You can still just let me take the scroll."
