Strikers are screwed. And seeing the nerf kids get their way, over and over again saddens me. I only play as a hunter and will never stray, but taking a sub class and neutering it is terrible. And will never fill me with any joy. I don't think firebolts burn times were op, that was kinda the point. Minus one for recovery for blinkers is uncalled for. Should've left trip mines alone. Shade step and smoke grenades were fine too. And the sun breakers super had to be ridiculous considering how crappy their neutral was (was/is, no offense).
So let's look at shoulder charge. Seems like you gotta wind it up and aim. High risk high reward, going through with it puts the striker in a pretty bad spot. Why nerf it? Wtf is gonna get nerfed after that?
Man if these forums didn't exist I think destiny would be such a different game today.
We can sit here and talk about balance all day and I'll here you out. But each sub class has its strengths and weaknesses. Why put everyone on such level ground? 1) it's impossible and if you do manage to get it close some how 2) what would we be left with?
Our exotic weapons aren't even exotic anymore because of the vast majority who cry nerf.
Sorry for the rant, I just can't muster the words that can describe how much I hate all of u that cry nerf. You guys ruin so much for so many people. Shame on you.
Bungie can we just vote on all buffs and nerfs from now on please?
-
If bungo wanted wanted to take ques from annother wildly successful developer, they could look at Blizzard. They rarely ever nerf things, most of the time they just buff the classes or characters that aren't being used as much, and let the comunity figure out counters to certain foes... "Stop Nerfing, Start Buffing"
-
It hurts to admit it but I think you're right, the whiners will win again. Playing IB last night and suddenly every second player is running SC. Bungie will look at the stats and decide too many players are using it, must nerf.
-
Run shotgun if SC bothers you so much. Stop being a Sniping bitch crying about someone being able to kill you.
-
I agree with everything besides sunbreaker. hell no haha two sniper headshots? nah. it could tank golden guns shots as well. and every SINGLE hammer procs cauterize back then. nonono They were invincible.
-
Doesn't bother me. I run unstoppable, and I survive Shoulder charge consistently.
-
Just yes I really don't want to see destiny go any further down hill
-
No need for a nerf but they'll get one. Too many people crying..
-
I am having a hard time figuring out what Exotics are suppose to be. Definitely scrap fodder for me as of late

Good thing I play Defender.
-
Well some will be happy as if you're light level 315 or less and try shoulder charging someone in iron banner with full health you won't kill them out right, especially the 330+ guardians. Bloody well surprised me when I didn't kill someone and got shotgunned to the face haha Yes I also know that is because of the level difference being enabled
-
so, lets say they nerf shoulder charge. It doesn't one hit anymore. Snipers who are hardscoping (the shoulder's prefered prey!): Get shoulder charged, lose most of their health, don't die, try to go out of hard scope and turn around to the titan, get meleed again before they can do any of that. Shotguns, the bane of the knee-cap: See a shoulder charge coming: BAM! shotgun to their face, no shoulder charge for titan :( all other engagements come down to these two things. Shoulder charge will remain to be beaten by what is was beaten by before, and since the titans can melee right afterwards it will still dominate what it dominated before. lets say they nerf the amount of time it takes for shoulder charge to be prepared: titans will continue to run in circles until it is prepared. nothing changes. nerf how long it is active for in one sprint session: Give's Mk-44 stand asides a use/ it won't matter because titans will still just run in a circle right before engaging. most titans can be running for a good 3 to 5 more seconds with their charge after the point they use it. Again, nothing changes. have it take a melee charge: Titans will run overload and maxed strength for a 12.5 second cooldown on shoulder charge. it takes about 10 seconds for a titan to aquire a new shoulder charge target, so a 2.5 second delay. which they could use to run around in circles while sprinting to . . . you guessed it . . . wait until shoulder charge comes back! no possible nerf or buff will effect titans ability to totally destroy what they used to be able to destroy and allow them to start destroying what they used to not be able to destroy. so quit your whining, because we will adapt.
-
It's all the Titan's fault. They wine and bitch and then when everything else is weak they think it's okay to stop nerfing. Titans started this so hopefully after Strikers and nobackup plans are nerfed we can be done with it. Not until then though.
-
Ah Jesus another Titan nerf cry baby
-
It's because the 5 year olds have told bungo to nerf anything that kills them. I don't think hunters needed nerfs and I barely use my hunter! I think the bladedancer subclass needed buffed not "tweaked". Fire bolts were easily avoidable and the sun singer was not OP. What WAS OP was sunbreaker at the launch of TTK. And that's coming from someone who mains a Titian. My point is, stop b*tching on the forums about something that killed you. STOP NERFING! START BUFFING!
-
Maybe just maybe ones bungie won't listen to cry baby's. Strikers gunslingers and sun singer in my opinion where the most balance classes. They castrated two of them with last bungie nerf/ update. Hope they leave Titan striker be. Btw I main a lock and don't think any super is OP. My tip for cry baby's is simple you see super well run away don't try to be a hero sniper or shotgunner. Smh

I say no to any nerfs. I think it just brings the game down as a whole. Think about the last time you saw a Sunbreaker after they were nerfed the first time... Every once in a while, you'd see one. Same with Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles... I've even heard talk of nerfing fusion rifles; as soon as more people started using them, people complained but you didn't hear a peep out of anyone when fusion rifles weren't being used. It's all about what people get killed by the most. Once enough people get killed by one particular weapon or class of weapons, it essentially is given a time stamp on how long it'll be useable until it's nerfed into the ground. No nerfs. Just balance everything back to the way it was Year One and bam! No more bitching.
-
Edited by Rilla: 6/29/2016 4:22:50 AMnerf shoulder charge and fusion rifles also, i would like stormcallers to be smashed as easy as bladedancers.
-
So your argument is basically that Destiny was perfectly balanced on release and absolutely no adjustments should ever be made to balance and even video game developers doing this for a living are all wrong and you are right... K.
-
Let's get this -blam!-in straight. The only people on here bitching about Strikers are the people bitching about people bitching about strikers. STFU. The problem is nonexistent. Stop trying to make it one.
-
Forget striker nerf these -blam!-ing shotguns

I have to disagree. the wombo combo and the fire bolt combo had no counter play to them. They both needed a change. However the night stalker changes were done right. Wombo combo is still possible. You just need to be more accurate. and shade step is still stupidly strong. You just have to play smarter with it. Where as the fire bolt combo nerf wasn't done right and the subclass is trash tier now because of it. The subclass needs a redesign. And I also have to disagree about the sunbreaker super. It's strong in pvp right now. It was too good at tanking and dishing damage. Personally I would have liked it to stay super tanky but less lethal or the other way around. But the way they are in pvp right now post patch is good enough. I still think the super needs to deal a bit more damage to majors in pve though. Pretty much the entire patch was fine except: ~trip mine nerf ~throwing knife nerf ~stealth blink nerf ~0 recovery possibility I won't state factually one way or another about the warlock nerf and TG nerf since I have little experience with both. The only current problem I have with the warlock nerf is that it seems like it's not worth picking over the other 2 subclasses. But maybe i'm just missing something.

3 posts say striker is op 40 say it's balanced Im pretty sure we get the point. You don't want a nerf. You want everyone to know that you think strikers are balanced. They are balanced we don't need 40 posts saying the same thing
-
Striker isnt op, its unbalanced! Theres a difference. The last "patch" screwed the "balance" worse than it already was. They need to buff other stuff, not nerf striker.
-
My coconut oiled vagina stands corrected
-
Balance keeps people playing... otherwise we'd have nothing but Hunters running around in pvp. I agree Bungie over nerfs, but for that I blame the community.
