It was floating in the sky and I hit it with a spoon and it fell down.

The man's eyes widen. "The last scroll..." He murmurs. Sticking out a hand, he introduces himself as Ghost. "Son," he says, "you have gotten yourself into quite the amount of trouble here. I have a feeling you'll need my help."
-
K. So, do I jump in the egg or...
-
"This is where it gets complicated. There is a corporation, a malevolent one, after the fortune at the end. They are willing to kill for it. I've been searching for that last scroll. No one they've sent into the eggs have come back. Look kid, if you're going into that egg, I'm coming with you."
-
Ok. i jump in
-
Ghost diving in behind, warns, "this may get rough."
-
Wait, so what happens to the egg now?
-
There is a blinding flash, and an echoing voice booms out. "You have one guess" We are in a room with 3 objects. There is a shadow, reflected on a wall, a mirror, and a sword. Then a riddle is issued forth. “To all things and men I appertain, and yet by some am shunned and distained. Fondle me and ogle me til you’re insane, but no blow can harm me, cause me pain. Children delight in me, elders take fright. Fair maids rejoice and spin. Cry and I weep, yawn and I sleep. Smile, and I too shall grin. What am I?” The egg is gone.
-
You got any guesses? i look at the other guy
-
This is a tough one, I don't know, but we can rule out the sword I guess, because not all men and things have one. That leaves the shadow, and the reflection.
-
Oh, we can only choose those 3!?
-
I assume so, that's why they are options. I believe the game will get harder.
-
Well, does the mirror mean your reflection or the actual mirror itself I wonder...
-
Good question. I believe only one thing would make sense in the riddle though.
-
Nothing would fit all the descriptions so...
-
What about the reflection? All things have one, and it grins when you do. And you can't do anything to truly harm your own reflection.
-
Why would elders fear it? And why would it sleep when you yawn?
-
Elders take fright, because they fear their own mortality, and the reflection confronts them with it. When you yawn, it follows suit, meaning you tire, and will probably sleep.
-
Well... i walk over to the mirror
-
Touching the surface, you realize that it is a liquid, and that you can pass through. You hear voices beyond. Ghost draws one of his two pistols. Stay careful. He clicks off the safety, and a low hum, barely audible emanates from the gun.
-
i lay it down on its back i back up a bit CANNONBALL!!!!! i run and do a cannonball in
-
Ghost follows you down, and with a sucking sound, you are through the mirror. You find yourself in the midst of a massive battlefield, with gunfire raging all about. A beacon of whit light appears... on the opposite side. "That's where we need to go!" shouts Ghost over the din.
-
FOLLOW ME!!! i just run for it ignoring everything around me
-
Gun fire tears into the ground around you, and you barely dodge a slicing Wong of a crashing plane. Upon reaching the beacon, you glance back, only to see Ghost hemmed in by three sword wielding, highly armored soldiers. He is firing his pistols, but the blasts of energy issuing forth seem to glance harmlessly off the metal-clad brutes.
-
i run and tackle one
-
The soldier collapses and drops his sword. Then, he turns toward you, drawing a wickedly curved knife, and growls, revealing tusk like teeth protruding from his lower jaw. Ghost, meanwhile, kicks up the dropped sword, and is fighting the other two soldiers. He ducks an overhead slash, and whirls, slicing the gleaming blade through the armor of one. It drops to the ground, thick black blood flowing from a wound in its side. The other, proving to be a better swordsman, puts up a better fight.
