I'm both Playstation & Xbox.
Honestly I've seen the same amount of stupidity fandom from both sides.

Agreed. My origin lies with Xbone, But i LOVE both consoles. They all have good and bad, and i think the Microsoft and Sony companies are pretty cool.

Best way i see it, if one truly sucked then the other company would have no reason to try and outdo the other. In short both are great, and keep each other on their toes and that's why we get great things from both parties.
