As I'm finishing the first 2 Ys games and DOOM 64 before that, I find myself wondering if there are any other games I may have missed or never finished as a kid.
Enter Turok. This FPS was fun and, dare I say, a bit challenging... especially if you're a kid who hadn't been playing many shooters on consoles.
Time to take a step back yet again and dive in... on Steam this time!
Anyone else remember playing this game back in the day?
If not, what games did you play as a kid but never beat (without cheat codes) and would like to get back to it?

Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis. Could never beat it. There are no saves so you have to beat it in one sitting and it's a long game....

Edited by Gomly1980: 6/27/2016 2:25:54 PMA kind of Street Fighter game. All you did was fight the same 4 people over and over again. Impossible to beat because it never stopped. Aside from that, the only game that got the best of me as a kid was Asteroids. I used to get so frustrated at that game.

Jurassic park on the Super Nintendo. That game was so difficult.
-
It also took me 8 years to finish Metroid Prime. I used to suck so much
-
I love this game. I never finished it.

Halo Combat evolved gave me and some friends many good times, and still continues to do so for us.
-
I never beat ratchet and Clank going commando. The disc ended up breaking

Edited by dova spook: 6/26/2016 9:56:56 PMI could never beat Contra Super C or Ninja Gaiden on the NES. Look for Chrono Trigger if you like RPGs (it may not be on Steam though), and TMNTIV: Turtles in Time if you like an arcade brawler.

A few years s ago I went back and beat Bonk's Revenge. For some reason I had the hardest time with that game when it first came out. However, a lot of games I was good at back then kick my butt today.

Edited by PizzaMan725: 6/26/2016 5:45:17 PMSome of the first Sega games, Wonderboy in monster land, target earth, bonanza brothers, etc. Everything else I played was easy after that. The only other things I can remember having problems with were the first C&C and homeworld.

I remember playing and beating the first Turok and the last Turok on Xbox 360. (I think that was the last Turok) I didn't play or like the Turoks in between, but may try to explore those one day. Yea I miss the offline glory days. I always considered Halo Reach the peak of the offline vs online, because you had a equal choice and nothing was online locked like most games are today.
