Ling sat up and hugged her back.
"Macha it's good to see you again. I was just talking to Chloanne before you showed up."
He said while Chloanne was staring at them. She had a small smile.
Ling stopped hugging.
"I missed you every second I was gone."

"I missed you too..." She kisses him, then a bright smile dawns upon her face. "I have news..."

"Yes Macha?" He said, not knowing what could happen. Chloanne of course decided to sit down, not really knowing what was happening.

Her smile brightens, as if she was unable to contain it. "They're twins, Ling... they're twins..." She took his hand and placed it on her bulging belly.

He smiled brightly, showing his white teeth. "This is great!" Ling said, hugging her once more. "Wait..you guys are having children?" She said. "Yes Chloanne.." He replied "I'm going to be an aunt." Chloanne was joyed at this, though she didn't show it.

"You are..." She says. "We didn't know when to tell you, but now is as good of a time as any..." She smiles at her, then goes to hug Chloanne. "We're going to all be a family..."

Chloanne hugged Macha, though not as firm as Ling. "This is terrific news, for everyone." She said. "I'm going to be a caring father..for the both of them." Ling also said.

Macha giddies a little. "I'm gonna be a mommy!!" She goes back to hug ling, as firmly as she could. "Thank you, my love... thank you so much..."

He smiled. "I just want you to be happy my love." He hugged back, he nearly cried tears of joy. Chloanne was happy and touched by that, perhaps he truly appreciated her.

"We need to get properly married soon... make it truly official."

"I was planning to do this later, but since you brought it up.." Ling clutched a small box within his hand, opening it and taking out a ornate ring. It was a golden ring, bejeweled with rubies and a small diamond within the middle. How he got the ring no one knows. "Will you, Macha..marry me?" His heart was pounding fast, this was the moment of truth. [spoiler]yep he fücking did it.[/spoiler]

She smiles, tears streaming down her cheeks. Her throat was unable to form words from the emotions. "Yes... absolutely yes... there's nothing else in the world I'd rather want..." She had put her hands up to her mouth, her face in an expression of joy.

[spoiler]See, not everything has to be grimdark[/spoiler] He got up from the ground, trying his hardest not to cry from joy and gently grabbed her left hand. Ling placed the ring upon her ring finger and hugged her. Chloanne mysteriously disappeared. "I love you Macha." He moved her other hand from her mouth and kissed her.

She kissed him back with all of her might. This man, a mon keigh, was the man that had made her the happiest woman in the galaxy. At that very moment, nothing else in her life mattered. Not the wars, not their fate on the ship, not the divisions between their people. What mattered to her was the man with whom her heart beat in unison. Her husband.
