"Yes..."
He looks around.
"So, is my daughter treating you well? Not too rough?"

-
"Hmm? She's been an absolute dear, actually. She's a sweetie." He says with a smile. "You've raised her well.."
-
"thank you. She's a very sweet girl. Very passionate... Although sometimes she can be a handful. But nevertheless, she's made a good choice."
-
"Thank you.. And she hasn't been a handful yet. Not to me, at least.. I'm glad I ran into her that day - literally, almost.."
-
"I heard how she saved your life from the titan, yes? That's my girl..."
-
"Oh, so that thing was called a Titan.. And yes, she did. Uncloaked and tackled it just before it murdered me."
-
"Ah, she would pull such a brash strategy... it's not unlike her at all."
-
"She could have taken it a bit more careful, weapons looked like they could've done a lot from far away.. But then again, I might not be here if she hadn't done that.. Either way, I'm thankful and owe her big time." He started cooking and baking stuff.. Like.. Doing stuff with the flour and the milk.. Basically, he was making the waffle stuff.
-
"Can't complain about the results, however." He chuckles. "She's the spitting image of her mother, you know."

Edited by Nibber Schipper: 6/25/2016 6:18:45 PM"She must have been a great lady, then.. Heard she died though."
-
"Indeed... she passed before her time." He says, grimly. "The galaxy lost a great light on that day... but she lives on through Mir'ika."
-
"It seems all the good people die before they should.. It's saddening, quite honestly.." He said, also grimly.
-
"well, the least we can do is keep living good lives. They wouldn't want us sulking around over their deaths."
-
"Still, mourning those who we've lost is good sometimes, allows you to come to terms with things. Always remember them though."
-
"I've had plenty of time to mourn. I have done my mourning."
-
"Guess I'm in the proper of mourning.. Coming to terms with the fact that you'll likely never see your family or friends again is hard.."
-
"it is indeed difficult... but you have to think positively on it. I was faced with a similar situation, when I fled the empire."
-
"I'm staying positive, I guess.. It's hard, but I'm trying.. This stuff is unpleasant.. Not fun.." He sighs deeply, and makes the waffles in silence.
-
"Well, at least you've already made some new friends... and are part of our family."
-
"And I'm glad for both of those things, truly." He says, a small smile forming on his face.
-
"I am glad too."
-
"Mhm.. Say, do you have any clocks around here or something? Because my biological clock is kinda stressed out right now."
-
"Hm... it's around noon right now."
-
"And just as the food is done, too.. Don't know how good it'll be, but at least I didn't blow the kitchen up!" He says, chuckling; he was feeling cheerful again.
-
"Indeed you haven't. I'll go take over for her, she'll be up right away." He gets up, leaving the room.
-
"Bye!" He said as he opened up the waffle iron, and placed the four waffles on two plates, two on each plate.
