I've played both, and personally I prefer battleborn. In spoiler form for the sake of compacting this comment
I found the characters to be more likeable/memorable, as well as the gameplay to be more enjoyable. With overwatch I played reaper because of my flanking/assassin/hitandrun playstyle, while he was enjoyable to use i absolutely hated his personality, he was extremely edgy for lack of better terms, constantly referencing death and yelling "DIE, DIE, DIE!" When you cast his ultimate. Closest character in battleborn I can refrence reaper too is phoebe, she plays similarity, sneak up on your target and do a lot of damage or cast your ultimate and break a group of targets. Reason I like her character more? She isn't an edge lord and has a backstory. I tried a few other characters in overwatch but They either A. Didn't fit my playstyle or B. I didn't enjoy using them, so I can't speak for the rest of the cast. Few other smaller issues I had was the pricing, I'd pay $20-$30 for overwatch not full price, I don't care about the skins, they don't justify the game being full price, yes it's receiving content over its lifespan but if I'm not enjoying it at first, I won't stick around for a few new maps and modes. Other issue? The community, while yes I understand not everyone in it blindly defends the game and has tracer body pillow (or roadhog....whatever, and yes I'm exaggerating a bit for the sake of adding a little humour, so preferably don't freak out) but the majority of the player base I've seen is extremely over the top, example 1, this one guy at my school, he blindly defends the game and acts as if it's a 10/10 game that every person must play and if you don't like it, you're sub-human. Yes, again, I understand that one guy doesn't speak for the whole player base. Example 2, this ones a little more...local, anyway while back I said that I preferred battleborn over overwatch here in #gaming and very shortly after had about 5-10 people immidiatly ready to execute me. Example 3, the data recorded on what people where searching up on the Internet, most of us know this story, and let's be honest, that's unsettling.
Im glad people are liking simpler games like overwatch again, but i just dont understand why overwatch is that game. Its guilty of things that gamers today complain about, such as lack of content and being repetetive.

He's probably the only person I watch for my gaming video amusement. Sometimes it's quite funny to listen to someone rip games I enjoy apart. It's quite sad that people keep calling him a reviewer and complaining all he does is look at the down side of games, he's a critic, that's his job. That being said, I prefer Battleborn. I played the Battleborn beta but didn't buy it straight away, I thought i'd wait for a price drop. Overwatch beta came around and it made me miss playing Battleborn and made me go out and buy it. I can play Battleborn at any time whereas I could only play Overwatch when the folks I group with are available. I've never seen so many terrible players when i've queued up solo. Trying to heal people that keep charging into entrenched groups... it's just painful. I didn't bother buying it. Pricing was my main concern, for what they wanted for it the content didn't justify it. The other being, as I said, I can only play when those I group with are online at the same time which as we've got older has lessened a lot. I play it at a friends house every now and then but i'd never buy it for myself. Battleborn won out for me and i've got more than my monies worth out of it.

I love this guy..."uhh I mean overpriced". Perfection.

You can't truly appreciate the waifus until you play as Torbjorn.
-
Overwatch is most definitely a better game
-
That made me laugh XD On a more serious note, the games are completely different and anyone who compares them hasn't played both of them or plays battleborn wrong.
-
Pretty much sums it up... Overwatch would've been better off adding more content while Battleborn would've been better off adding less content and using that time to refine the multiplayer component of the game.
