Dear Bungie, We are a very organized clan with a very structured admin team with head admins, console admins teams, chat mods, game mentors and more. We also have a large number of subclans to allow all members to rep the dames tag. So we are a bit confused and concerned about the Captain title being required on the bungie.net site recently. Some admins are showing concern that this title gives the person abilities or access on our clan pages or that in future it might. Can you please explain to us the exact purpose of Captains and if now or in the future they will have any responsibilities or abilities on our pages? We also have been trying to test things out with it and were not happy with the fact that you cannot change or demote a captain once they are made captain like you can with admins. The only option is to kick them from the clan or ask them to leave and then it defaults to a random person who we believe is the most recently active in game member? Will this be changed at some point so we can switch who is captain if it matters at all? My personal guess is that captain is just an arbitrary term put on someone repping the clan so that the system has someone to use as a base for the leader boards and its nothing more than that. However, either way a full explanation would be much appreciated and I know others clans are unsure about all of this as well. Thank you for your time.
