Okay, look. I understand why you want to keep destiny to next gen consoles. But there are some of us who still want the whole destiny experience even though we dont have enough money to afford the ps4.
I just recently got enough money to buy a ps3, and i was so excited to buy destiny, hearing how great and awsome of a game it is. Ive put time into this game. And i still want to play with the same online and offline experience as i do now, if not better.
Im not asking for the new dlc, or even destiny 2. I just want to be sure that those of us who cannot afford a ps4 will still be able to play on and offline with the same experience.
Thank you for your time.

You will be able to continue playing for some time -they have not announced the kill date, but it will probably be a few months. You'll be able to do dailies, bounties, access to Xur, and most content from Taken King until the kill date. You won't be able to do Trials, Iron Banner, and access to some other specialized activities beginning some time in August.

Get were you are coming from but if you recently bought a ps3 why did you not buy a ps4 instead, don't make sense.
-
I feel you man! Save your change up, no I'm serious here, save up any and all change within the next few months and you'll have that ps4 in no time! Change accumulates faster than you realize, I know it does for me! :D

Bungie has already replied to this. Older gen hardware will still be able to play Destiny, but the path will diverge from the next gen hardware with the September RoI expansion. I say just wait and see. We still don't have all the details. But - if you want to play RoI or Destiny 2 when it's released next year (or so) then you'll have to upgrade your hardware.
It's all about priorities. The system has been out long enough now that there's really no excuse.
Since when have we been able to play offline?
-
It's a business at the end of the day and you're in the minority, it makes little to no sense to keep making content for a console over 10 years old
-
I get the money thing keep in mind those who did and can buy the current standard have to get inferior products in order to allow for last gen. I know they could just make some things unavailable on last gen but bungie for an example stated that that at the time wasn't something they wanted to do.

Dude, get a credit card, buy a current gen, pay it off interest free for six months. Easy

Pack it up people op solved the case
I just recently got enough money to buy a ps3
Maybe you should have just kept saving
I understand why you want to keep destiny to next gen consoles.
PS4 and XB1 are CURRENT gen consoles!
And i still want to play with the same online and offline experience as i do now, if not better.
Offline?! What the Hell are you talking about? Destiny is purely online. Everyone is now dumber for having read your post, and may God have mercy on your soul.

It's your fault for buying ps3 now, should've saved more money and could've bought a ps4. Start saving money now again until Christmas which hopefully you will have enough money to buy a ps4 or xbox, their prices will be lowered during that occasion and trade in the ps3 to save up even more money. Patience is a virtue. Always be patience and don't rush in to buying you will regret later.

If you put 15$ a month away ever since destiny came out you could buy a next gen console. That's 50 cents a day. There really is no excuse

Edited by Psyggie: 6/27/2016 11:08:44 AMI have some advice for folks in situations like yourself. I'm not saying it's always going to work, but just thinking about this advice and applying it to anything in life eill help you in the long run. If you really want something, you can get it through hard work. But no one wants to work hard, they just want to blame a situation or a person or an event or whatever. In this example, say you're a teenager in high school with parents who don't have the money or won't give you money for a ps4. An idea would be to get a part time job in the evenings and or weekends. In just a month or 2 you will have enough money for a ps4. Which is now pretty cheap. It would require actual hard work. You might have to work harder on homework and school. Maybe get less sleep a few days a week. Maybe sacrifice social time and events with friends. This is what hard work means in life.

No Good day

Second hand Xbox ones (In Ireland) go for €150-170, and second hand PS4's go for €140-160. I was looking at the just today in CEX. I can't imagine countries differ too much in pricing.

Destiny will literally be the exact same for last Gen. They are no longer updating it so what you have right now will be what you have after RoI
-
Like my parents always told me, "get a job" anytime i asked for anything. Try it and save your money. Then buy a new system.
-
You can't play offline.
-
Didn't know we are able to play offline.
-
The experience is constantly changing. Pay them for the work they are putting in or dont play.
-
Try Craigslist.. Trade what you have now and add cash or something else in trade.
-
You mean current gen. Not next gen. But I agree, you should still be able to enjoy everything you have already paid for, which I think you still get. Only trials and special events won't be available to you I think.

I was like you fella. Didnt get my xbone til way after everyone else i know. I cut out a few things to get the money together (it was an easy way to give up smoking) i didnt go out on the beers as much. Took me a while but i got there. Totally worth it. Like other posters have said, prices will start to come down now "new and improved" versions of current gen consoles have been anounced.

Wait for the slim version of the current generation to come out. The prices on the original versions should be significantly lower then. Trade in ps3 and everything and put it towards the purchase.
