The black coat of the night.
Night time, on board the bloodwrath. An unsuspecting group of chaos legionaires wish to make a quick kidnapping, murdering and stealing run on the inhabitants of the ship's safe zone. They band, their numbers many, their strategy is sound.
The midnight hour strikes. It is time to attack.
Seeping into the streets like a stealthy mist, they assault a city block, where security was loose. They enter one building. They kidnap the women in the middle of the night, to perform who knows upon them... the men who do not disturb them, they leave. But those who take them in surprise are taken as well. Always have room for more ranks.
Their first wave is successful, they return to their dark conduits to prepare for the second wave. But, to their ignorance, they were being stalked...
They return to their desecrated monuments to prepare the ritual. Until...
One marine, standing next to one of the monuments, turns to find three melta bombs attached to it. Before he can even scream out, the bombs ignite, taking the structure, the marine and everyone around them in a glorious blaze. They were under attack.
Suddenly, strange, never before seen marines reveal themselves. They surround the camp.
Armed with strange weapons, from Plasma cannons to strange ionic weaponry, they ignite the camp in a quick, decisive skirmish. With precise destruction, they leave the enemy camp in ruins. But none of the kidnapped men and women suffer any injuries. These mysterious marines free the captives, untying their bonds and escorting them back to their homes, on the eastern side of the Quarters. But before the last marine leaves, a woman asks, who are those warriors? And they respond.
"We are the Imperial Panthers, guardians of humanity."
An exotic hispanic accent laces the words of the man in armour, who then leaves.
The Imperial Panthers make their camp on the grounds of the Eastern block of the Quarters. Their arrival was, at first, unnoticed, until their numbers had begun roaming the rest of the ship. But wherever they would strike... they would be unseen, until the very last moment, where the dying adversary could see who were the angels of death.
The Panthers had made their presence known to the bloodwrath. It was both a blessing to the Imperium, and a curse to their enemies.
Open. Visit the camp for yourself, check them out.
They share stories, laughs, experiences, and the sargeant even offered Alexis to take a ride on a land speeder.
-
Alexis declines the offer, fine with just talking with everyone.
-
The celebration went on for quite some time, before the rest of her squad had to go on their assigned patrols, leaving her alone with Valerius.
-
Alexis smiles at Valerius and finishes her third piece of cake. "And then there was two...."
-
"Two lovers indeed..." He takes off his helmet, sitting next to her.
-
Alexis rests her head on his shoulder. "Yup.... Just us...."
-
He puts his hand on her shoulder, leaning his head on hers. "Everything is going to change for you... I'm very happy."
-
"Me too, it'll be amazing..... I can already see myself fighting against Daemons and disgusting monsters with you...."
-
"You begin tomorrow, my love." He kisses her head. "You'll see, you'll have a lot of fun."
-
Alexis nods and softly hugs him. "I love you..."
-
"I love you too." He smiles.
-
Alexis softly yawns and nuzzles him.
-
"So... still want to sleep in your tent, or in my Monsastery?"
-
"I'd prefer to sleep with you."
-
"Good... very good."
-
Alexis nods and cuddles him.
suppose we should end it here, I can't think of anything else

Right away? Oh well, I don't mind. Let's get to it. So... in PMs?
Ling, accompanying Arknin wanted to peek into this 'New Chapter.' "God damn, it's like new chapters are popping up every second!" He said to Arknin, who replied. "I really do not like that tone. I still have a headache from this morning." "Alright then, let's just...meet and greet. But if these happen to be some vigilante bullshit I am totally putting them under suspicion." "For the last time Ling, they are not random people in Astartes Power Armor. Yes I am too suspicious of them but do please put on a..happy face." He said, eventually reaching the Eastern General Quarters.
-
They approached the perimeter and they had already seen the changes. People in the street seemed a lot happier, knowing they were safe. The space marines clad in black and white striped power armour did light patrols, but were still present. Their camp was nearby.
-
"It's certainly less depressing than your area." He said to the Priest "Let's just get moving, I need to get back to being useful." Arknin responded. They eventually approached a marine. "Can you tell us where your base is? I am Inquisitor Ling Defaln of the Ordo Malleus." The Inquisitor said to the Marine.
-
The marine looked down at the Inquisitor. "Over by the third street. Go down this road, take a right and you'll be right at the gates." When he spoke, he had something of a hispanic accent, which was unseen before amongst space marine chapters.
-
The Duo moved onto the direction the Marine said. "That wasn't the usual Astartes accent." "That sounded kind of offensive." "I am simply stating fact." They eventually made it to the Gates after a walk.

It was quite the camp, with every structure that could be expected from a Space Marine stronghold. Seeing as they couldn't exactly have a battle barge raining support down on them, they had to hold a fortified position. Albeit unlike their usual strategy, it was a strategy they could see through.
