I know I know, the Battlefront III alpha footage has been out for some time now. However, with the source code being leaked a few months back and a confirmed revival, My body is ready.
Frontwire Studios, the company behind the Battlefront III rebuild, has recently made new ground in the project. They contacted and Valve has agreed to distribute the game via Steam once it releases. Don't get too excited yet however, it's still uncertain if Big Brother Disney will strike down this project.

Anyway, point of the thread is to spread both the news and show those who never saw what Battlefront (EA) should have been.

Rip this game ;-;7 Damn you EA
-
Please, let's not have this as a PC-only game. Console is the way of the future. Also, it's what I play on.
-
Great, now my PCMasterRace kid will have another game, that I don't have, to brag about at dinner. Lol
-
I just hope the graphics get an upgrade. With this day and age those graphics are bad
-
Front wire is about to be sued
-
Eh, doesn't look like my kind of game

EA's Battlefront is terrible at immersion. I never dreamed of getting run over by a speeder bike while I'm Vader, or getting whacked in the face by Dengar.
-
God I can't wait for Galaxy in turmoil
-
Disney will strike this down so hard, with some team of high priced lawyers, and then probably sue to make the other people cover the lawyers cost.
-
You don't like Battlefield with a Star Wars skin? What's wrong with you?
-
EA's battlefront is fun. And I'm a 16 year old who grew up on Battlefront 1 and 2. They are different games, but if I wanna play a fun Star Wars game with simplicity and good graphics, I enjoy the new one. The old ones are definitely more complex and in other ways, much better, but you also really need to commit yourself when playing those games. Sometimes I just wanna sit down and not think about what I'm playing, and that's the new battlefront for me. I honestly don't know why they even included stat tracking in that game, tbh.

EA's Battlefront nails the feeling of being inside of an epic Star Wars battle with game modes like Walker Assault, but it's severely lacking in content compared to the old games. That's what makes it not as good. It has potential, hopefully the sequel can deliver.
-
-sees what battlefront could have been thread- -laughs because battlefront 2 is what battlefront 3 should have been like-
-
May the spirit of Pandemic watch over this endeavor
-
Can someone tell me why all of this was scrapped for some other game? This would have been so much better. There was most likely so much more to do than now, and it would have continued the Battlefront series. I'm just imagining all of this with the current graphics that DICE did, it would have been incredible.

Disney are either going to; A) Shoot this thing down just before it hits steam (most likely). B) Take pretty much all the games profit since it's technically their property.
-
Dude Disney are -blam!-s they'll shut it down unless Front wire pays a -blam!- ton of money.
-
It's gonna get shutdown
-
*cries while playing console*
-
*heavy breathing*

If you want to play what the story would have been partially for the game Get Star Wars elite squadron it has pretty much all the same plot and the two clone brothers as the main characters along with the blue Chris's Jedi Your welcome
