Ok...
Care to explain then how Nightstalkers; which according to your own data struggles to even reach, much less maintain, a 1.0 K/D ratio and appears to be constantly outpaced by every subclass of Warlock, were 'reigning supreme'?
If these statistics were the basis for determining the rebalancing of Hunters, why did Nightstalkers receive any nerfs at all. Clearly the abilities dubbed 'OP' by the community weren't enough to catapult the subclass to success. It was neck and neck with Sunbreakers and only did regularly better than Defenders (except of course during those four days on the memorial day weekend when Defenders finally surpassed another subclass). If you're going to start pulling charts to explain your reasoning, at least be consistent.
EDIT: So the whole point of this, which seems to have flown over most of people's head, is the fact that there was no statistical reason to nerf Nightstalkers. Like Sunsingers, they got hit just for being "frustrating". It's BS and a practice that can justify any nerf to any class. If that's how it's going to be, then Strikers are going to be next on the chopping block and I don't want to see that happen. There will always be that one ability or class that the community complains en masse is OP, and that's how it's always going to until everything gets nerfed to the point where there's no unique differences between classes. That will destroy Destiny far more than any content shortage ever will.
Sunsingers were never OP. In fact, I was always of the opinion that they needed a considerable buff to keep up with the new classes. Fire Bolt grenades where basically Incendiary Grenades that did less damage, were actually easier to dodge, and required two perks to even be effective. Don't believe me? Check out BA Gaming's video OPness. Were there some abilities of the Nightstalker that were OP? Perhaps. There's certainly some arguments that could be made for Wombo Combo and Shadestep, but as Bungie's data chart shows, they weren't nearly the auto-win abilities everyone made them out to be. Like Firebolt Grenades, like Shoulder Charge, just unique to the class and occasionally "frustrating" to a few players. Not enough to warrant nerfs though.
All in all, it never ceases to amaze how many people still think Bungie knows best, despite the entire history of Destiny being evidence to the contrary.

The data was from a 6v6 playlist and so gunslinger and bladedancer are usually favored in those game modes because you have a high probability of gaining more kills when in super
-
Bad ass also ignored a bunch of stuff in that video. Showing bias to his favourite class
-
Hunters are EASILY the most used class in the game. Why? Because they're incredibly easy to use, and they dominate pvp. Anyone who refuses to admit that, is in denial..
-
Poor defenders.
-
Was going along with you until you said check out that moron's video. His whole argument was "firebolts arent op, but wombo combo is godly". He created several unrealistic scenarios in which you can dodge firebolt nades. None of them would work in an actual game. Aside from that, I agree.
-
OMG WHO THE HELL CARES
-
Hunters have been the pvp class since day 1. Glad bungie acted
-
Still see 4 hunters on each team every pvp match after the nerfs so they weren't hit that bad! Don't see 4 thorns on each team after the nerfs, big difference!
-
Get a job, a real one
-
I'm guessing sunsinger & night stalker were changed because of their 3v3 performance. The graph only show 6v6 performance, & that was likely because people already knew why ns & ss were changed.
-
You know, a functioning person would look at this chart and wonder: How do make the other classes more viable? Not How do we weaken stuff so everyone is the same?
-
Edited by LordTears2Roses: 6/24/2016 4:20:00 PMIf the chart continues at that rate striker will surpass both bladedancers and gunslingers as there both in a sharp decline and striker is on a big incline :)
-
Hunters used to be "high risk high reward," now it feels more like "high risk, sort of decent reward"
-
I like how they call it thermal not solar. They don't even get the name right in their own game. But aside from that it really pisses me off how they're trying to tell us that we're wrong and telling us to adapt. What they should have done is had Cozmo or deej make an official poll to see if people wanted to un-nerf throwing knives and put the word out so all players could vote instead of telling the people that actually play this game that they're wrong
-
They made it so the classes are not so easy to use any more. Skilled players will still use them effectively, and bad players will just have to get better or get a new strategy.
-
Bubble titans are below everyone else so shut up already. If anyone deserves to bitch its them not hunters. Until defenders out pace everyone then no one but them deserves to cry for buffs and nerfs.
-
Well considering my Hunter has a 1.29 KD and I switch between all subclasses, the subs don't really change your gameplay. It has to do with weapons and skill. Shade step and Blink are both good tools, but they do have their ups and downs despite what others think.
-
To Bungie, "reigning supreme" means overused. There are more hunters than any other class, so of course they seem like they're reigning supreme.
-
They told us Sunsingers that there was no data to support and changes. However we made "Frustrating Situations". In an ability driven, multi-class, 1st person shooter your trying to avoid frustrating people? So we lost VF, Overshield was nerfed, and so was self res. That is a tall order on a character they designed to run a neutral game. It's to cater to the babies and YouTube pink panty paraders. I can be really mean right now but I won't. I am happy that you are speak out on bungie. This is the example more should follow.
-
The actually buffed the blade dancer and night stalker! Yet nerfed the sunsinger into the ground. You got off easy and the doubl shade step was bs and you know it.
-
Shit look at sunsingers they further nerfed it because it was still causing"frustrating encounters" the average of is below 1.0 lmao. Let's all just agree that bungie sucks more than a pornstar. They couldn't figure out how to balance a ball on a table that's how incompetent they are.

A Warlock is working on an assembly line next to a hunter. Day in and day out they manufacture the same product . During the month of October, the warlock shines and is able to produce more of the Slapadick product than the hunter. He is given a small raise and told "Good job" by the bosses. The Hunter is upset over this event and tell the bosses that he was only outperformed by the warlock because he observed the warlock using and automatic wrench on the Slapadick assembly line which although is more effective in producing results , is a policy "No,No". The higher ups review the data and although are glad for the warlocks productivity find that he is in error and his pay raise and praise are quickly taken away. It is now November and the Hunter, feeling that he is on even ground once again with the warlock begins to shine through the use of an effective but long since abandoned method of quickly assembling the Slapadick product. He is awarded at the end of his month with a pay raise and much praise until the warlock points out to their employers that although clever, their is a reason, although never explained, why this method is not used anymore and if you reward the Hunter for this it may set a poor example for future employees. The Hunter is downtrodden when is employee of the month parking spot and gift card or taken away and he goes back to producing substandard work on his respective line. No complaints are filed from either the warlock or Hunter as they are now producing evenly, although below the company's needed quota. In December a new employee arrives. It is a Titan. Everyone knows the "The new broom sweeps clean" and the warlock and Hunter are pissed because they know they have been ham stringed by each these last two months . The Titan begins to make is way to the line and quickly shoulder charges the whole thing sending Slapadick products everywhere. The warlock and Hunter look at each other, wink and whisper "got em". We all know how the rest goes.

*checks what he is* Ah yes, a hunter, no wonder why he's whining
-
I main as a Hunter and have no real probs with the changes. Love the fix to shadowshot. It should stop supers on impact. Shadestep spamming while cool really did need a fix. As for the stats, Bungie should release all the stats if that's what they are basing any change on. It would be helpful to see 3v3.
-
I gave up on bungies sanity a long time ago. Guns in this game could shoot clown dicks and theyd still justify it because mime dick weapons were too op and its the current year and also no Y1 weapons.
