ya, but when you know they are coming and you boost up and out, and it still hits you it's a little out of control. I have video of my Warlock literally being up at roof level on a building (full glide height), plus being about 20 to 30 feet horizontally away and somehow the magical shockwave ora still hits me. If you want to talk about single use supers, give the teather and nova bomb that same sorta range ;) Even with the right perks helping nova bomb range, it's completely dismal compared to the Fist of Panic range.
