"Interesting enough, I suppose... Made it sound like I'm some old guy though, while I'm actually, surprise surprise, twenty-seven... Anyway, what your story, babe?"
The man says with a grin.

She smirks. "Well, let's see... I was born on Terra's Moon. My parents, Kor'El and Mir'idia, were both Tau who had fled the empire. Shortly after I was born, though, my mom was killed in battle... but that's alright. I never really knew her, anyway. Although I do know I look just like her." She smiles. "I was raised around humans. Your lifestyle of craziness and freedom has always been my favourite! I love throwing parties. I love everything about humans, you know. Your culture, your looks, everything. When I was really little, my dad showed me how to pilot battlesuits. I immediately loved it. Everything about battlesuits, I know like the back of my hand. My father eventually found another woman he liked... a human, named Amy. They had a baby together, my sister Amy. They named her after her mum." She giggles. "But yeah... now comes the dark part. During the battle for Terra, my father... well, he died. But... he wasn't killed. He wasn't left to rest. Necrons took his dying body and made him into a pariah, into their Supreme Lord. His first move was to attack the base we lived on, on the moon. A lot of us, the Tau of the T'erra Sept, managed to escape. His necron army was here with a single goal: destroy humanity. While he was a necron, he converted my mother too. Together, they had another child. Her name is... well, we call her Abby. She's really sweet... it's all thanks to her that we got Dad back. Being the only necron with a free soul to exist, she used her powers to liberate my dad. So when he merged with the Nightbringer, he kept control. Then, after that whole ordeal, we, the family, began scouring the cosmos to retrieve the members of the T'erran Sept. We were ripped from our coordinated flightpath, and we were brought here. And... that's about it. And even though I look like I'm only twenty, I'm actually twenty-eight." She smiles.

He nodded along as Miri told her story, interest in his eyes, and a smile on his face. The smile only grew when he heard the ending, how everything wrapped up nicely, and his eyes lit up. "Well, that's a nice ending to your story; everything turned out just fine after all!"
-
"Well, my story isn't over yet, you know... I have my whole life ahead of me..." She smiles, moving some hair out of her face.
-
"And neither is mine... And I hope that mine won't end for a long while... And I also hope that you'll remain a part of my story..." He said the last part rather shyly and silently, like a teenager, confessing his feelings to the girl he likes.
-
She smiles at him, chuckling a bit. "Well... if you continue to take me out on dates, I definitely will." She had no boyfriend, only her family. And she was open to everything. After her last couple ended in a disaster, she was ready for a refreshing new experience.

Would that mean that I have the privilege of calling you my... lover?" He never had a relationship before, nor did he even had a first time in the past, so he was rather inexperienced and shy.
-
"Well, not just yet... but keep it up, and you will." She chuckles. Maybe it was the alcohol acting, but she kisses him on the cheek. "It's getting late... do you have a place to stay?"
-
He grins when she kisses his cheek, and answers her question with a shake of his head, "No... I don't have a place to stay. I was actually planning on sleeping in my mech, because that thing seems pretty safe..."
-
"Well... I suppose you could stay here, with us." She smiles.
-
"Yeah, that reminds me... Where are the others? Your sisters, dad, and... step mom?"
-
"Well, my step mom is dead too so... it's just me, my sisters and my dad. We live in this whole district. All three warehouses are connected, and we each live in one. Dad lives in here with me, though."
-
"Sorry about that... I don't know if you're still sad about it, or if you ever will be again... But I'll be there for you..." He says silently; it was more of a gentle whisper.
-
"Oh, it's alright. I barely knew her anyway." She shrugs.
-
"Yeah, well, still. Loss is hard at most ages... I tell from personal experience, sadly."
-
"I see... well, I'm sorry you had to deal with any losses. And if it helps... I'm here for you." She smiles at him.
-
"I've coped with it by now; it had me very down for a long time though... 'Least I got my revenge... And I thank you for that, Miri." He returns the smile.
-
She pours herself another glass, and pours one for him as well.
-
He does a cheers thing with his glass before taking a short sip of it, letting the blue fluid flow around on his tongue for a bit before swallowing. That sounded wrong.
-
Yup. She downed her glass, chugging every drop of it. "Ah... I think I'm going to go get some dinner... want to come with me?"
-
He swiftly chugs the rest of his drink, once again gulping it down without a second thought. "I'd love to. I'm... kinda hungry by now, if I'm honest." He replied with a grin.
-
She gets up. "I know just the place..."
-
He gets up too, albeit a little wobbly. "Eh? What place? And I'm surprised they even have food places in here, honestly... With all the shit around."
-
"It's in my backyard, with a barbecue!"
-
"Barbeque?! Oh hell yeah! If only I brought a six-pack of ice cold beer... Invite some friends..."
*American stereotyping intensifies*
-
"Well, we don't have much for beer, but we have some hotdogs..."
