Hood of Malok nightfall drop
Hey guys as my title suggests i did the nightfall 3 times already and i still did not get hood of malok 😰 i even did few 36 level runs on blighted chalice. What i want to ask is it just an abbysmal drop rate or just bad rng for me??

I have about 5 of them so far. Just keep grinding. Rinse and repeat.

On X1 I've done this about 40x and nothing. Got a Ps 4 and got on first completion. Go figure.

1 ReplyThe drop rate for Grasp of Malok when Omnigul was Nightfall was about 20-25 percent, IMO. I assume all strike specific drops have similar drop rates. If so, three runs would give about a 50 or 60 percent chance of getting at least one drop. Not getting one isn't very surprising.

That helmet could not be uglier. Well, it could be the Titan PoE helmet... That helmet could only be slightly uglier.

I got it my first run ever and ended up deleting it

I got the hood of malok from doing the Malok strike

You have to not want it. That's the key to RNG I got it to drop on my warlock at 334. Then I got 2 pieces of taken gear from the sterling treasure. You just have to let RNG do it's thing

I think it's just evil RNG. I went weeks, including multiple runs per week, with zero nightfall love, before last night... one run produced Hood, exotic gauntlets engram, Red Death in end screen. Great googly googly. Oh, and Mariner dropped from Sterling Treasure. Yep.

Bad rng for ya I've gotten it five times literally and I haven't done the nightfall on my warlock or Titan yet

The level 36 strike would give you a very low chance of getting the drop. Nightfall's increase the drop rate for strike specific loot drastically. I would say that if you do it 10 times and don't get it, that is just really bad luck. Not surprising you didn't get it in three though.
