Why people think striker is op all of a sudden
I main hunter and people all over the forums are complaining how op strikers are. I find this ironic because strikers are relatively the same since launch. Guardians (especially my fellow hunters) are bitching about how op shoulder charge and FoH, only because they have saltyness left over from the last nerf. So on behalf of all hunters; I apologize if we bitch more often than usual. And we can't help it that something in our brain called the frontal bitch lobe is working over time.

1 ReplyAs a titan only player I would be fine with the notion of shoulder charge consuming a melee charge IF it only gets used on contact, otherwise it can still be used as normal for mobility. It would make that one helmet exotic with the bonus melee charge more appealing to use

This, absolutely this! Really before a lot of the nerfing and class changing, nothing had really changed since year one. (Excluding both Alpha and Beta portion of the game) But it seems like whenever Bungie decides to introduce another weapon meta, the way people play using their abilities also changes quite a bit. Not entirely sure myself how shoulder Charge would help against the pulse, grasp thing going on. Maybe it's just a panic smash sort of thing when you round a corner?

5 RepliesIt stands to reason that people will hate whatever the direct counter to their play style is. I guarantee most people complaining are those who like to stay back and ads. The non-confrontational players in other words. I bet those who like to run the map and shotgun people, those who push the enemy back aren't really complaining about it cuz they expect it. If you get shoulder charged more than 3 times in a match then you're very not good at adapting. If you can't change up your play style to suit your needs then you haven't been playing long enough to complain or you simply need to re-evaluate your play style altogether.

It's not.. Tbh I feel nothing is or was really. A talented player will destroy a not talented player regardless of weapon or subclass or anything else players wanna complain about.

Because people just hard scope and hard scope and hard scope. Anyone that complained about sunsingers or stormcallers or sunbreakers etc. are the people that do nothing but have there sniper equipped the entire match and are hard scoped the entire time. #Tamponmasterrace

They gotta whine about something. Shadestep and sunsingers got nerfed so they had to find something else to complain about. Shoulder charge seems to be the cool thing to cry about now. Easier to just mute and move on then to engage them.

Hunter main as well. I don't feel titans are op at all. Plenty of counters to anything they bring to the table.

Its because people need something to whine about...sunsingers where the same from the begining people whined and bitched and now got nerfed to the ground. They cried and got that nerfed too. Hunters finally got their well-deserved nerfs and they wanted to retaliate so they went after Titans again, for absolutely no reason other than to be annoying.

Today's update had striker sitting at, or just below a 1kd so I'd say convincingly they aren't OP. Defender on the other hand needs all the buffs it could get.

Because there is something that is always "op" in destiny, I honestly think they are fine, just maybe tweak the hit radius on lighting grenades a little

1 ReplyThe reason why it may seem op is because titans are supposed to be the hardest to kill in retrospect. They are the tank class in destiny so obviously they would have something that puts them in a state where they are very difficult to kill.

9 RepliesIt isn't. The only change I think it could use is making Shoulder Charge use up a Storm Fist charge. I really don't have any qualms about Strikers, they're in a good place.

Make shoulder charge take a melee charge. Let the perk grant an additional melee charge.

Yeah, I wouldn't make a "behalf-apology" for others who mainly play as a Hunter in the crucible. Quite frankly I play as a Titan in the crucible often enough using the Strikers subclass, & it can & has been defeated by shotguns, nova bombs, heck I've been shot by a sniper rifle within a foot distance while in shoulder charge animation. Whether that was pure luck from the receiving players end, or a weapon balancing mechanic gone wrong, I'll admit, it was pretty cool. Every character class has its ups & downs, for those who complain about it, why not take a break from playing as a Hunter in your case, & play as a Titan/Warlock. If you can't beat them, join them.

4 RepliesNerf Shoulder charge and we will all switch to Juggernaut and run at you with an over sheild and a shotgun. Nerf Juggernaut and we will just Fist of Havoc you instead. Nerf that and everyone switches to defender with No back ups magnet grenades and shotguns. Nerf all that and eventually we will be shooting marshmallows and throwing sponges at each other with our rock em bopper gloves on so we cant punch or slap each other too hard. Basically what im saying is stop nerfing everything cause you died.
