I main hunter and people all over the forums are complaining how op strikers are. I find this ironic because strikers are relatively the same since launch. Guardians (especially my fellow hunters) are bitching about how op shoulder charge and FoH, only because they have saltyness left over from the last nerf. So on behalf of all hunters; I apologize if we bitch more often than usual. And we can't help it that something in our brain called the frontal bitch lobe is working over time.
Again I apologize,
A SLIGHTLY bitchy hunter

This isn't a result of the class being op, it's just the fact every other class was nerfed which made striker the best option
-
Same thing what's happening with my fire team, I'm just gonna stay low about it
-
Nothing in this game has ever been op it's just skilled players outplaying other players. However, due to bungie's recent behavior of catering to everyone who cries about this game on forums. Almost every gun and subclass has suffered a nerf. In their pointless attempt to make everything balanced. Let me say this as a person if we (guardians) were shooting each other with pea shooters there would still be a crap ton of players bitching and moaning about how op those pea shooters are. No matter what bungie does it's never good enough nor will it ever be. So personally I think they should bring it back to how the game was in the HoW meta. This is just my opinion but the game felt as balanced as it ever would be back then but, this is just my opinion.

The nerf is coming. Deal with it

It's the same reason that people started complaining about snipers. It's the mentality of the nerf-herders on b.net. "If it kills me, I'm in no way responsible for the death. It MUST be because what killed me is unfair and MUST therefor be nerfed. Never mind the fact that I have full access to it as well, it's just entirely too OP. It is in NO WAY an issue with my personal skill level and/or my inability to adapt to new situations." The reason they're targeting Titans now is because they caught the least amount of shit from this last update. Similar to how shotguns got a nerf and then snipers (that had little to no difference from the day 1 versions of themselves) were all of a sudden "OP". Everyone needs to shut the hell up and play this game for fun...and that goes for everyone, Huntard, Whorelock, and Crytan (<not mine...saw it the other day and it took) alike. No one is making a living off it.
For those of you that want to tell me that people are (Twitch, YT, etc). They aren't getting paid for playing Destiny. They're getting paid for their personality which just so happens to be playing Destiny ATM. They'd still have viewers if they were playing something else.
-
I think it's people mad that most classes got a nerf but shoulder charge got left alone. They want the other classes to suffer too which is immature
-
It's the exact same thing that happened with MIDA. Other things got nerfed and MIDA became a more attractive option, then a bunch of people claimed it was "OP." Both the striker and MIDA are examples of why other things should be buffed up, rather than the "OP" things being nerfed down.
-
I don't get why these threads keep popping up. People have been complaining about shoulder charge long before the most recent nerffs. I get the Cries for nerffs on shoulder charge have definitely gotten louder, but for people to say that they only just started crying about it are wrong. That all been said I feel strikers are and have been in a good place (in pvp) shot a while now, and there is really no need to change it.
-
Nah they got buffed when sinbreakers got nerfed. Extra armor on the last tier choice. And higher base armor I believe. And striker has the oppurtunity to have the best base stats, have the skating, have super powerful gernades, the best antisuper in the game and shoulder charge or juggernaut. They are op if you ask me. I thought they were op before the nerfs. Maybe just my opinion.
-
It's the same thing as sunsinger. It's stayed powerful while everything else has been weakened
-
Dude yes, just yes. Thank for this point of view
-
I think it's the year 2 cry babies..hoping they don't fuck it up for the very few remaining OGs (original guardians)
-
To sum up how certain stuff that is actually balance in reality become "OP" is when others are nerfed. Then, the rest that are untouched become "OP". (emphasis on OP) What's really OP is the nerf posts. Nerf them please!
-
Strikers the same... everything else has gotten nerfed... do the math. It's not that hard to see why people are complaining. Rightfully so? No. But it's the Destiny community. What do you expect? Logic? No... that's too, shall we say, logical?
-
People complained about Warlocks so the nerfed them, people then complained about Hunters SO THEY NERFED THEM. I think you get the idea. People always gotta bitch about sommin

Edited by WiggletonBandit: 6/23/2016 3:30:39 PMThanks for the love hunter. I think we're seeing an uptick in the cries for a nerf to strikers and shoulder charge in particular, because the last round of nerfs made it more difficult for hunters and sunsingers to keep their distance. Strikers are designed to be an in-your-face class with FoH, SC, Juggernaut, and Titan Skating. The whole point of the class is being able to rush your opponent, and if you can close the distance, deal a massive amount of damage to them when you get there. Your opponent's objective should be to keep strikers at bay which is now more difficult to do with the nerfs to smoke bomb, shadestep, and viking funeral. These perks in particular helped to slow strikers down, deal additional damage, or evade them before they could close the distance. Now I don't have to worry as much about the range of firebolts, the stickyness of smoke, or a double shadestep spam as I run in for the kill. As such, Strikers are feeling a little more powerful than they were in the past.

Overheard a conversation in metro: "Behave or a striker will come..."
-
I don't think that striker should be nerfed but they nerfed everything so it can't compete with it, but eh, who cares
-
Cringeworthy post is cringeworthy. If youre a grown man, get your social life together. If youre a teenager, get your social life together.
-
I love u
-
I second everything here.

I think we need to terminate the bitch lobe because there's nothing wrong with strikers and the only reason they seem op now is because people despise the fact that Titans are up to par with all the other classes, which they haven't been for a while. Hunters and warlocks just get so used to being on top don't they? But I honestly would rather be able to survive a shoulder charge rather than preform one in trials
-
People expect Titans to be tanks. They're really all about vertical control.
-
Edited by plague75: 6/23/2016 5:30:17 PMIt's bungie fault. If they used common sense they would have given throwing knife damage drop off. So one hit kill close up. If that had been the case I'd be back on my main. So for now I'm shoulder charging everyone I can. I'll continue manning my Titan till they buff them back up. The day of the hunter is done for me. Titan charges are great fun. Not as much as my throwing knife pre nerf but it's still fun.. Just to add that there are more Titans in crucible these days due to nerf. So shoulder charge is rife.
-
I personally don't think it's op, but the reason most people say it is op is because they can have height armor/recover, and low agility while still being the fastest class in the game. A good solution to this could be to buff blink to what it was in year one.
