With the new DLC coming out, how come Bungie is not adding an additional patch allowing for 60fps?
There is zero excuse for both current gen systems not being able to display any game in 60fps.
Advanced Warfare (came out in 2014) is in 60fps with little to no drops....
I'll admit, I used to be a PS3 Destiny player but from now on Bungie should really just cut the cord on PS3 and Xbox 360 and focus on current generation systems.
60 fps is extremely noticeable when switching between games and really enhances any type of gameplay. This isn't a tremendous world where the background is constantly loading a different scene (unlike racing games).

I was proven wrong, Destiny 2 is 30 fps om ps4 Pro but it somehow looks very good.

Going on your AW statement, AW had some pretty middle of the road graphics that would be easy for 60FPS, Battlefield 4 did 60on PS4 and Xbone but dropped frames somewhat frequently. Destiny has all of the particle effects and subtle things that would strain the hardware on PS4 and Xbone. Ever notice how you rarely drop frames in Destiny? That's because of it being 30FPS (I think, I'm not exactly an expert on this). I hope D2 is 60 but I don't care whether something is running 60 or 30 as long as it's consistently at said 60 or 30 FPS.

Edited by TheShadow: 6/28/2016 2:37:34 AMWho cares, scenery doesn't mean s*** if there's no playable content.
And Bungie has a shit load of unplayable content...
I rather see this game have a steady flow then worry about how it look. Bungie lacks majorly on making a game. Add playable content is majorly needed. Open up the borders on every single planet. There should be a new species by now. There should be at least one new planet. The one vehicle s*** need to go. Make more vehicles. Clan wars. Make more then a 3 man/woman fire team. Would bosses. Stop replacing the old public events with new one in the exact same spots on every single planet. For Christ's sake use your freaking imagination. Open shit up and make the planets worth playing... If Bungie isn't going to make a full game when they come out with new content. Then keep everything relevant. A little expansion is not caused to treat it like a full game. The list goes on. This game needs actual content. Not mass amount of scenery that does no one any good...

In halo 5, 60 fps was a beauty.

we dont know what exactly their plans for next dlc. lets not jump into conclusions.
-
The DLC won't because it's still coupled with content that last gens are using. There's literally no engine changes going into the DLC to warrant dropping last gen support. Destiny 2 on the other hand. If it's 30fps then clearly there's a problem.

The best thing you can do is switch out your HDD to an SSD. I put a 1TB SSD in my Xbox and Destiny looks way better than it does on my PS4.

Edited by Slain: 6/26/2016 3:19:10 PMFrame rate is not a factor of tje game's quality. Remember, when you push for framerate, you compromise some functionality. That is the reason dark souls 3 only runs 30 on console. Even at 30, my game freezes every time I fight the dancer. The main reason 60fps isn't practical in destiny 1's life cycle is programming. Framerate isn't just a graphical tune up like most people believe. Almost everything in the game is run through frames. Your character speed is a function of your position, by frame. Every timer is tracked by frames. In order to change the framerate on a game that's already been programmed, you'd have to rework everything that's part of a sequence, has an animation, or is controlled by a timer, which is just about everything in a game. It's possible for dark souls 3 because platform-delendent framerate was something they had in mind while building the game from the ground up. Even if they managed to make destiny 60fps, there is still the question of functionality. So no, it's not unacceptable, despite what you think. The "this game does it" argument is invalid here.

Destiny 2 should be 1080p @ 60, or else......
-
I feel like that'd be a lot to expect them to add with an expansion. That would require a lot more work than you'd think, and it would take a giant patch to put it in. It'd be better to just wait until D2 if they decide to do it at all.

Edited by magburner: 6/22/2016 7:43:08 PMIs there a need for sixty frames per second? Would it add to gameplay? We have managed so far with thirty frames per second, so why change something that is not obviously broken?

Very doubtful it'll happen with this DLC. More than likely won't happen until destiny 2
