Man! I posted a whole subject about returning the thorn JUST TO FIND OUT WHY PEOPLE REJECTED THE THORN. What i found out was confirming what i tought.....most nerfbabys cried about the thorn just cause they got owned by it which is not a game experience issue but a "i cant play so let me ruin it for others" - issue! Cause its plain ns simple, EVERYONE can own a thorn so EVERYONE can use the gun and EVERYONE can make kills with it.....so saying some weapon is OP is mostly cause the person saying that DOESN'T OWN THE GUN! I checked every posters profile just to look if they owned a thorn, geuss what? 70% of the people who denied a comeback of the thorn didnt own one at all! The other 30% just had bad K/d's so that also explained itself.....i find it funny its my FAVORITE gun in destiny but also the most nerfed gun in destiny's history (year one vanilla destiny players know this)....my own k/d isnt high, better yet i got owned by other thorn users all the time so what?! I never callee out NERF cause THATS whats ruining the game, bungie should focus on the pvp problems instead of serving the crybabies their plate!

It's that it was overused by meta/mimic players. The" i gotta use what everyone else does bc i don't have a thought that's my own" players. Like grasp is now. I find same weps every effn boring as $#!+, Nerfing the thorn..? I laughed so hard that day.

With all due respect.... I dont own a grasp of malok and A LOT of other weapons and i see its the most used weapon now in crucible BUT does that mean they should nerf it again? When a new weapon comes out and its overused in crucible nerf it again....? Again...again and again everytime a new overused weapon etc comes in? Everyone has a FAVORITE right? here's a 1 plus 1.... What if they didn't nerf everything PLUS make some similar ones regarding OD? People will be forced to use several weapons because they are all mindblowing and usefull.... For example what if they made the hung jury and the last extremity equaly powerfull (with only a diffrence in perks and such of course)? Which one will people use? I think those that prefer some perks over others will choose one of these weapons while others do the opposite......so both will be used..... Buffing instead of nerfing while equally dividing each weapons stats that are of the same caliber and type....(but with a huge diffrence between exotic and legendary of course...) Like i said no disrespect but nerfing shouldn't be the answer to this problem because everytime you bring something out it wil happen again and again....

Hey,i agree with a lot of your points. There will always be the "1" gun out there ruining our good times. Bringing back thorn, ice breaker, or pocket infinity, would simply add to a lot of y1 problems like mimics. No sane player wants trials with dbags using ice breaker to avoid no special ammo at start, and thorns being used in conjunction with flaming grenades. Trials is difficult enough with lag and lag switching and dosing.

It wasn't overpowered, it was simply annoyingly overused by the mimics, oops, i meant metas.
