I recently got around to playing Wolfenstein: The New Order, so I'm necro-bumping this post. (I bought the game on-sale for $7 from PSN about a year ago. This was a long time coming!) The game was great fun but man, the health and armor pickups should have been left back in 1992. (I should know, I played the shit out of Wolfenstein 3D in 1992.) The game looks great, by the way. Sharper than Destiny. More colorful than a [url=http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law]-godwinslaw!-[/url] shooter has any right to be. Better looking, and plays better, than Xbox One and PS4 launch titles. Also a healthy story for lore nuts. At the very least, this game is rife for discussion. [spoiler]Germans say Heil Hitler but it doesn't appear Hitler is still alive in the alternate history! Why doesn't the U.S. rain A-bombs down on Germany in 1946? What happened to Japan? I saw that Germany betrayed Italy, but it's not clear what happened to Japan's world empire ambitions. Apparently Germany stole all their fantastic new technology from a secret Jewish science brigade that developed technology centuries ahead of 1940s tech. WTF?!? Is Blaskowitz like a Captain America super solider? He's stabbed in the chest 3 or 4 times in the game and appears to die about 5 times. (The falling unconscious and getting captured trope should have died in the Call of Duty series). [/spoiler]
