I know what you're thinking that my opinion is. "Throwing Knives 2 OP needed n3rfing".
No. No, no, no , no , no and no.
Seriously, why Bungie? What was the need. I can even list some reasons why you've just made a massive c0ck-up.
1. Throwing Knives rewarded a skillful aim.
2. They have a rather long cool down.
3. They rarely OHKD as the most ran the precision perk.
4. They were the Gunslingers only counter to other classes longer range melees.
5. It felt rewarding to land a clutch throwing knife.
If these aren't the best reasons I apologise. I'm sure you can list some better ones below.
I just can't understand the logical side of the persons brain who decided that throwing knives were unbalanced? If you had to you could have just removed the incendiary knife...
Seriously, now I'm worried for shoulder charge, despite the range of the Stormcaller melee.
For proof that the Stormcaller melee is bad just watch Nkuch's latest video where he melees someone on Black Shield from past the OHK range of a Party Crasher.
Just know this hunters, we feel you.
Edit: For those complaining that I am biased against warlocks I am not. I just have my views on their melees. Purely my opinion. I don't really want to see nerf posts on here either.

I sort of agree but I dunno. I don't think the knerf (ha!) was too severe, but just like "why was this needed?" I main a hunter and I do play with Gunslinger a lot in crucible. I never used the burn perk, but I did toss a lotta knives in skulls for kills. When it happened to me, I never got the impression of it being abused, but more like "oooh, well thrown, sir." So I'm not sure why it needed any balancing. It at least took good aim and timing to pull off. You could miss and waste a charge, leaving yourself wide open. Or hit a body shot and fail to kill. But after the nerf I didn't find it hard to kill with it either. I actually was still completing Crucible quests (I don't usually play a lot of crucible) and the "score throwing knife kills" was one of them. While I couldn't just chuck a knife into an eyesocket, I could still get consistent kills with it. I'd shoot and weaken an enemy then toss a knife anywhere on him. Requires a little more work, but it's still easy. Works really well in those firefights where you're running low on ammo in the clip. So I got mixed feelings about it.
