New to HearthStone. I have only heard good things about it in the past so I thought that I might as well try it out, it's fun yet challenging at times, which I love, but my PvP opponents are getting harder and I'm not getting better.
Any tips for a successful deck?

Pick a hero you enjoy and build it up. Get a good competitive deck with one hero and then expand from there.. zoo lock, deathrattle hunter, tempo mage.. these are all really good decks to learn with. Definitely wanna try to get the newer adventures, they have good cards. When you buy packs go for either the vanilla packs or the old gods packs. Use your dust towards getting that one deck you like to a more competitive level. Honestly when I first started I leveled all my hero's to 10 against the innkeeper. My tag is T3hi84n2g I'm usually on for an hour or two every night, feel free to send me any questions or a game challenge or whatever. Oh and make sure you complete at least 1 quest when you have 3, and you can reroll a single quest once a day, so say you have a win 3 games with paladin quest and you don't like the paladin.. click the top right corner and it will give you a new random question, but only do it one time per day, or else you will just delete the quest. Good luck and may RNGesus be kind to you!

You have to get cards that compliment each ither. I use the hunter with pretty much on beasts or cards that support/buff beasts

Sitaire Combo. Gives them fits...

Play tavern brawls

Put your heart in the cards!

If you want to be successful, keep up with the meta. Also, make a deck around a certain goal. What I mean is, decks such as zoo, populate the board with more minions than your opponent. They maintain board control the entire game and have finishers such as Leeroy Jenkins and Doomguard. Build a deck and refine it. If your looking to have fun.......do whatever you want!!! Good luck! :)

I love it. Don't buy too many packs, save up for a section of one of the expansions.

Edited by Vox Mortuis: 6/20/2016 7:02:57 PMMy main tip would be, find cards that work well together and build a deck around them. My main deck is a druid deck that's loaded with taunt and c'thun cards. Once it gets going, and gets near endgame I can usually win. Also I have a nice little combo thrown in where on turn 9 I can summon the ancient one in one turn.

Look up tips online because the strategy in the game is very difficult to convey with only words

Come up with a technique or strategy, and stick to it. For instance, my main deck is full of murlocs which all give eachother boosts, and I am a warrior so I can rack up shields with cards that might give me +5 shields or +2 with my hero ability, and then I have cards that deal damage based off how many shields I have. Basically, your cards should all work together.

Edited by Gustav: 6/20/2016 6:54:47 PMA good tip is to watch Kripparian on Youtube. He is a top-tier arena player who explains everything he does. You will learn ALOT if you watch him. This is not a shameless promotion, I'm serious. Edit: Look up "aggro mech mage" and "zoolock" decks. The current meta is aggressive decks. Yet another edit: You can win against some of the very high tier decks with just the basic cards if you are good enough. Dont blame your deck if you are losing alot.

Click the board, click it as much as you can!
