The headset I bought 10 months ago is walking on its last legs. Both sides have been broken and fixed with tape, and just recently my game/party audio is only coming through the left side.
So does anyone in Gaming have any good recommendations? My price range is around $150NZD($105USD) or lower, but if you have any recommendations that are $20 or slightly higher then feel free to list em.
Currently I'm looking at buying the SteelSeries Siberia X300 headset. Does anyone own these? If so, how durable are they?
EDIT: Ended up going with my decision to buy the X300. Thanks for all the suggestions though.

Afterglow Karga haven't failed me yet. Think they run $69.99 if you can find them in a gamestop (they are no longer in production so it might be tricky but there is the AG 9 for $79.99) that or a good set of turtle beaches.

Razor kraken. They don't break (unless you are unusualy rough with them) have good audio quality and a nice mic.

Bump, wanna see more suggestions.

Triton kunai very durable reliable and good quality $60

Turtle beach X42. You'll need to buy a chat cable and 4x rechargeable batteries to really use them, but they sound amazing. I bought mine for 50€ from sale (normally 200€ which is way too much)

I just went on amazon and looked at headsets, like headsets meant for pc (had to buy a cable to convert the mic and headphone cords into one but it was like $5) and you can get a decent headset for around $30. Just look at customer reviews and youtube reviews if they have them. Im pretty happy with the headset i got even though its not 7.1 surround sound but its very comfortable, i can wear it for hours without my ears hurting

Turtle Beach 420x Zero wires, good sound (not surround), and rechargeable (no batteries needed).
-
Afterglow ag7 under $100 (depending on where you get them) totally wireless. May need to do a firmware update if you have mic issues but it takes a whole 10 minutes (no issues since)

Ive had Turtle Beach X07s for over 2 years and have yet to have an issue

The Xbox One Stereo Headset. It works great with the snapping menu setting tab (you can change the ratio between game and party, feedback, and overall volume). It is a lot cheaper than other mics of its quality. The sound is absolutely perfect. This is the headset to get.

I was given a wireless turtle beach and I have enjoyed it. Nothing to complain about really

While not really a Headset, if you have a 3.5mm Jack in your controller, I recommend the earbuds Skullcandy: Strum They sound amazing, mic works beautifully and after a year of abuse, they still work perfectly.

TurtleBeach Headsets are pretty reliable at that range.

Edited by Noftone: 6/20/2016 1:08:54 PMMost decent Headsets cost a pretty penny. Though it is slightly more than your intended price margin, I recommend the Turtle Beach ear force stealth 420x. They are wireless and do not require any special attachments to work. Average battery life is 9-13 hours. Charge time is 3-4 hours. I've had this pair for 3.5 years, I've yet to have them break in any way. Good luck with your decision. These cost approx. $130 on Amazon.
