"I'm funny, you're funny, it all depends how you see it. And I'm willing to bet you're seeing things upside down from this angle." Vasquez jests, a slight chuckle escaping the helmet. "What's your name?"
English
-
"I'm Lea, the most beautiful thing on board. And you?"
-
https://imgur.com/a/yVhj9
"Vazquez, the second most attractive thing on here, first one to actually use emojis in regular conversation." The man says in response, before a laughing face emoji appears on the helmet.
-
"Sorry... No clue what those are." She says, pushing herself up and spinning around until her legs dangled off the side of the wall. Pushing back her hair, she takes in a deep breath. "So... No memory for you either? I think it's safe to assume everyone has amnesia of sorts. Welcome to the party."
-
"Yeah. Can remember up to a few weeks ago, but other than that I'm drawing a blank." Vasquez responded, turning around and stepping beside her legs. He jumped up, letting his Exoskeleton Suit carry him to the ledge, where he proceeded to land sitting. "Though met some cool guys, both had big ass armour, one had a hammer, brought me to their camp, told me that we were abducted by someone. That's all they really said."
-
"Hm. Be careful with strangers. Some are cultists that just want to use your body for weird stuff. Not me though, I dot care about most groups on this ship." She responds, throwing him a glance and amused smirk. He was certainly intriguing. "Bur you look like you can handle yourself."
-
"Yeah, though these guys were like, protectors of humanity or something, called themselves 'Space Marines.' And if they're in the army, I trust them enough. Besides, I doubt you'd have trouble on the ship really."
-
"Space Marines aren't exactly friendly to my kind. But, I guess it doesn't matter. I do fine on my own." She says, slight disappointment layering her voice.
-
"You want to roll together or something? All I did was snag a bottle of water from the camp, if that's what you might not like amigo." He said, pulling s half empty water bottle from his back pocket. Who the hell keeps water in their pockets? Apparently Vasquez.
-
"Sorry, but I do better on my own..." She says raising an eyebrow to the bottle of water. "And I would usually just split up down the road later."
-
"Alright, fair enough. So, you know if anyone else on the ship that wouldn't be an asshole, or is it just us?"
-
"There's a man not too far behind me. He's massive and has a metal helmet. Two big guns as well. He's pretty okay. Kinda a jokester, but not bad." She muses, remembering that Lucien was still on board... Not that he did much besides walk and sleep. Though, she mostly did the same. "So... You got here alone...?"
-
"Yup, all alone, why do you ask?" Vasquez curiously asked, as a single, brown eyebrow of six large pixels appeared amidst the white background, finding its place over where his right eye would typically be.
-
"I woke up with someone... I knew him, but I wasn't alone."
-
"So you woke up with someone you knew. That's either good or bad, I'm guessing bad."
-
"It wasn't anything. I left them behind. I just gotta keep moving and try to find a way off." She says, determination and vigor filling her voice.
-
"Well, there's got to be a way out of this place. If it's a ship, we need to find the entrance."
-
"It's the size of a planet." She says with a giggle. She realized this is how she must have been when she first arrived.
-
"Planet ship? Does it have an ocean?" Vasquez inquired. This man was truly a dumbass some days.
-
"No, silly... Well... Actually, I don't know. It might, but from what I've seen. I don't think so." She giggles again and jumps down, balancing carefully and dusting off her revealing armor. "But, that's the joy of exploring."
-
"That's very true. Look, I gotta run now, just come find me if you need me, I'll likely be around a corner, of across the ship." Vasquez responded as he stood atop the ledge now, where he turned. The man gave a wave to Lea with his right hand, before he started walking away, centrally disappearing over the horizon, and the booms of music from his helmet, however muffled they were, grew quieter and quieter.
-
Without a goodbye, Lea just pads off, not headed anywhere in particular.
End
