Hunters are the agility class. Movement is supposed to be their specialty. Then why can the Warlocks and Titans move faster and jump higher than hunters? The jumps "focused burst" and "increased control" have made Warlocks and Titans faster than hunters since the game launched. Of course, Titans can pair that with shoulder charge and twilight garrison to become the fastest subclass, easily out-running a bladedancer's arc blade. I would now like to quote Commander Zavala in step 5 of the bladedancer crucible quest. "Bladedancers lack the Striker's strength, but even a Striker must admit the Bladedancers move at a velocity Strikers can only hope to match." —Commander Zavala.
Hunters feel like they don't have solid place in destiny anymore. The one thing that made them the class that I chose to by my first character and my favorite character is nonexistent in actual gameplay. I don't feel like Bungie wants me to play as a Hunter, especially considering the recent patches that nerfed almost everything about Hunters. (Not to mention, didn't nerf shoulder charge. I mean seriously, I can throw a throwing knife, burning with the immaculate solar energy of the traveler, into someones head from across the map, and it doesn't kill them. But a guy presses the right bumper, nudges me with his solder, and gets a one hit kill...) Sorry, went on a rant there. My point isn't to bash on the other classes, its to get the Hunters the boost they need to become the REAL agility class.
I believe that the Bones of eao exotic effect should be standard across all hunter subclasses. (Without wearing the armor.) The Bones are my go-to exotic with my Hunter. They just feel natural at this point, exactly as high as a hunter should be able to jump. I want all Hunters to be able to jump like this. Not having to sacrifice the natural feel of their Hunters to wear a revive item while playing trials or specifically having to wear the bones to complete a jump puzzle in a raid. Of course this would make the Bones useless, so replace the perk with a permanent battle runner effect (raising top sprint speed.) or just give battle runner while a super is active, something like that.
If you believe in this cause (and managed to read this far haha) please bump this post to raise awareness. Thank you for your time

Just putting it out there, bones are not required for any jumping puzzle in the game. If you can't make it through the jumping puzzles without bones, you aren't very good.
-
The only jump that needs any work at all is that stupid warlock fluff jump.

Edited by TheFishE77: 6/20/2016 3:22:37 PMNo. I hate how after every patch or adjustment suddenly everything is "Ruined" and apparently needs to be "compensated" by giving something else back. In this case an exotic perk as standard? Then what the hell is the point of exotics. I've never seen anyone complaining for almost 2 years about the jump on a Hunter, a little tricky in places sure, but never flat out saying it needs to be better. Just remember, everyone bitches about how "OP" something is until Bungie does what they want and nerfs it. Don't turn around then and say nobody asked for it.

Agility/Tank classes. There is no such things in Destiny. It would be like saying an agent in the division is a tank because he's using a full health build
-
Agility doesn't equal speed Just like armor doesn't make a Titan an actual tank
-
- Be Blade Dancer - Have max agility - Equip Fleet Footed - Equip Bones of Eao - Equip Universal Remote - Use Increased Control on Double Jump - Destroy everything.
-
I'd be okay with that. I just wish glide ascended faster, so I could move faster.

bUMP FFS
-
Nah. Just increase base sprint speed, jump height, and the effect of the better control jump node

Salty Hunter........8D
I don't feel like Bungie wants me to play as a Hunter, especially considering the recent patches that nerfed almost everything about Hunters.
No offense buddy but this is just dumb. I've been seeing this everywhere and people obviously don't realize how much of a buff the hunter actually got. I mean honestly if you don't believe me just take a second and look at the patch notes. I love my hunter in the current state it is in. Gunslinger is finally viable in PvE Nightstalker got better IMO and bladedancer is so much stronger. Do some research before you decide to jump on the internet and act like a fool

Edited by What I Look Like: 6/20/2016 2:33:46 AMThey suck though. I'm using exotics for offense or defense, no in between. So you're telling me I get to run slightly faster and jump way high up? Cool I guess, but I have a helmet that allows me to shoot what is currently the most powerful attack in the game. I've got an arm piece that allows me to turn invisible on melee contact. I've got Graviton Forfeit. Bones of Eao? Ea.. no.

No. It would get nerfed into the ground anyway.
-
I wish the hunters had an exotic that did something "special". The titans and warlock have a couple and the hunters don't have really anything

I really wish hunters had at least one armor that gave them generic special and heavy boosts like the year one bones
-
Still keeping my bones of eao from year one that give extra "heavy" ammo not machine gun or rocket launcher specific
-
The new perk for the bones should allow hunters triple jump to be used for sideways movement. It wont be like evade, since you dont disapear, and it would be as fast.
-
Agility and top overall speed are to completly different things. Hunters are the fastest subclass because we can get through a door way to cover the latest from a complete stop. Titans fastest in a long distance race but have to get a running start. Warlocks I don't think are faster at all. Yes they can share but I've never had one run away that I didn't catch
-
Yes, ish... I find it a little ridiculous that both titans and warlocks naturally jump higher than hunters, the agility class!!! I think their jump height should be adjusted, not necessarily that bones should be made obsolete. I chose hunter because they have a normal jump, and I wear bones almost always, just so the jump achieves reasonable heights. (Comparable to the other two classes)
-
Maybe both? Dont replace its perk with something silly
-
I agree
-
Haha the rant about throwing knifes in that paragraph XD
-
Speed =/= agility
-
Add the exotic into the subclasses. And then still allow bones to have the same exotic affect.
