Imagine. Using a VR headset, looking down at your guardians feet. Whether Warlock, Titan, or Hunter, using a controller or some other control to move yourself through the Destiny universe, in 4K and all that other good stuff. Good or bad idea? I'm planning on getting a Project Scorpio so hoping something like that becomes a reality would be amazing. Please make this a reality, I would be eternally greatful and it'd make for fitter gamers and a a more immersive game style. I'd love to run as a "VR realistic" New Monarchy Titan playing Destiny in real life.

If MS can get Halo-lens working right then augmented reality would be more fun than straight VR. No faith they can pull it off though.
-
VR has too much delay at the moment for an online FPS. And if it didn't, the VR users would have a big advantage.
-
Until vr is really vr what's the point? Its like 3d TV if it's not a hologram that I can walk around and interact with then it isn't any real benifit. Once we have vr where I am controlling the game with my mind and I can smell and feel the game environment I will be on board.

I want to sit in my chair and play a game, laid back and relaxing. If VR integration meant a stereoscopic headset for more immersion, fine. But I don't want to have to clear a space in my room so I can spin around and look up and down and all that crap. VR, to me, seems like a gimmick for games that aren't immersive in their storytelling.

How would you double jump?
checkm9
-
Unless you tv is huge, you won't see any graphical difference between 4k and 1080p. 4k allows for a better picture up close. At the average distance most people sit from even a 50" tv, you won't see a difference.

It'd be hard to do with movement and gun physics because of the different motions and gun types so I think it'll have to wait until the tech gets further, but it would be dank
-
As long as destiny runs at 60 fps I'm good

Some people over at Microsoft are actually already working on it. Here's what they been able to do so far.
-
But PlayStation has Möbius and the PlayStation NEO (Which is project to be based around VR a lot more than software currently is.) Considering Möbius is working with the guys on Oculus Rift, Sony already has a future in VR gaming. So, sorry bud, Xbox came second again. Don't worry, being an entertainment centre means you do other things so well....like being a jack of all trades. PlayStation is what it says it is, for the players.

Lol fails will get old after 2 hour's so no.
-
What about us playstationers
-
Hell no. Walking around with a computer thing on my head that in all honesty (to me anyway) is complete bs and a waste of time...no thanks. I'll stick to regular consoles.
-
The problem would be that Microsoft plans for games to be playable on all 3 consoles. Vr could in essence give a huge advantage to the players using it (if it's implemented correctly).0
-
Destiny VR? No, highly doubt it. Destiny 2 VR though? I would not be surprised.
-
Me and my friend were talking about if destiny was released for a vr systems. Shit would be dopity dope dope.
-
Separate editions for VR/non VR would split development resources in much the same way as last gen/current gen has. This means that neither edition can reach its potential.
-
Project Scorpio is next year's new xbox which means if you want vr you are going to need to buy the Microsoft hololens as well. Plan on spending $600-$1200 for everything unless Microsoft is nice and creates a cheaper vr headset just for project Scorpio (might be possible). If your loaded like some people are also include getting a 4k display for when you just want to play and not mess around with vr. Asus and BenQ have some really good gaming oriented ones. An elite controller wouldn't hurt as well.
-
Everyone keeps saying 4k isn't possible on consoles but never thought of 4k in the vr headsets themselves.
-
I have absolutely no desire to play destiny in VR. It would honestly ruin the experience for me.
-
4k on a console is a long way off, at least true 4k output anyway
-
They could only do it if it's on neo as well. Destiny is and will always be a ps based game
-
No VR as it would take way too many resources. 4K would be awesome. I would prefer if they used the extra power to get 1080P with the graphics settings maxed out (stuff you would on a PC like filtering stuff) + 60 FPS with no dips.
-
A 4k VR headset?
-
Nope. Lost me at VR.
-
I'd rather have 720p 60fps than 4k 12fps or vr with horrible lag and game play
