I see your point. But Trials carries are bad enough right now. People either:
1) Want money for carrying.
2) Require you follow their Twitch/YouTube/whatever before they even think about carrying you.
3) Require that you've been flawless 45,000 times before, and have every Trials emblem and shader that have ever existed and ever will exist.
That will only get worse if going flawless became a MOT. :/

I see your point too. But here are more of mine. 1) If people want this then they'd have to adapt and learn play styles that fit them. This would be good for stomping the empire that is Trials carries. 2) This would also be good as those players would also not complain about certain abilities for other classes and since Hunters got nerfed and buffed, there would be a little more class diversity.

Yeah, I'm fully expecting to see a lot more diversity in Trials because of this new update. And I agree with what you've said. I just see some bad stuff coming from that, because I know how, for lack of a better term, "toxic" this community can be at times; especially the PvP elite. But I hope that, if going Flawless becomes a MOT, you're right. -
I hope I am too tbh.
