So a lot of mixed reactions I'm seeing with a bunch mentioning engrams (I made this topic to discuss the option of saving the treasures initially but this brings me back to the year 1 convos I had when people were angry they popped their engrams before dark below) I'll give you guys my plan, let me know what you think. So from recent experience especially with this hot fix that went out yesterday, it seems like changing and/or adding things to the possible loot within a Sterling Treasure package is guaranteed possible with the proof being the new orange, magenta, and green chroma items. That being said, I believe hoarding said packages will be the new hoarding fad. I don't see bungie do anything in terms of how they drop, the way we get our weekly three (maybe tht number will increase due to new activities), and the rate at which someone can get the possible loot (I feel for those that still don't have their taken emote, I was lucky with two pops in a row last week netting me the last two pieces). Now I saw someone say that due to opening my big mouth, a possible incursion of "gold" packages may be implemented to target the weak willed into still spending silver on whatever new loot they add. To that I say, I don't think they needed my big mouth to motivate them into doing something like that. If we remember correctly, destiny tracker and other sites searched through the code to see that boosts were already in the making way before april update. That being said the "no silver spenders" will most likely be appeased like before and have the chance of obtaining "gold" loot from a similar function like the sterling one thats already in place so I'm not worried if they do end up doing something like that. Lastly about saving engrams, since the incarnation of 3oC, the amount of Exotic Engrams has almost surpassed the amount of greens I ever saw in destiny (I never see green engrams anymore). And I already know about the "New DLC+Old Engram=Old Loot, New DLC+New Engram=New Loot" formula in place so I say the best case scenario is to...save your 3oC. They've nerfed them to hell already but let's be honest, they will be the only way to get the new exotic gear besides the 2% chance of getting them from Nightfall & Shaxx's True Meaning of War Bounty Loot, any that may be tied to a quest-line and...dare I say..."Time-Gated" quests...ughhhhhh ahhhhhhh destroy me now and lay me down next to the Queen!!!! So with all that being said tell me what you guys think, maybe mention your plan or alter mine. Give the Iron Babies something to look at when they're found by the NorthernGhost for the first time.
