Ehh, I don't know. If they make it well and do something unique enough to make the setting worth it, I'll buy it. Same reason people are so interested in WWI, a time period with less variety of real plausible weapons (you may have a sword and a horse but against a rifle... Whelp); if it looks like it can be done well and you use your setting to the potential it has then people will buy into it. It's not as if people wholly hate futuristic games or the free movement that Titanfall did so well, or we wouldn't be so excited for Titanfall 2. It's that we're tired of seeing it done in such a way that the futuristic setting isn't good for anything but decorating otherwise unexciting gameplay and set piece moments.
